Whether semi-buried or buried insulation, this new low-carbon Knauf offer (supporting FDES) is 100% validated since it has all the technical supporting documents necessary for its use at the foot of the facade. particularly in public buildings and residential and industrial buildings (Euroclass classification of the panel according to fire regulations for exterior insulation systems).
An offer with 4 references and 2 innovations
The manufacturer thus offers professionals a complete range, in order to meet every need on the job site. This range is made up of four references including two innovations: Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA+, Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA, Knauf Perimaxx Resist and Knauf Therm Soubassement SE.
The first novelty, intended for the semi-buried insulation of bases, Knauf Périboard ULTRA+, which replaces Knauf Périboard ULTRA 30 SE, is perfectly in line with low carbon requirements and claims a clear reduction in its CO2 impact thanks to the use of PSE recycled during the manufacture of the insulating panel and the PEFC certification of the wood contained in the wood-cement facing. Knauf Périboard ULTRA+ thus displays only 9 kg CO2/m2 over its entire life cycle (thickness 90 + 10 mm R = 2,90 m2.K/W), i.e. the lowest value observed on the market for a solution of this guy! Composite panel (1000 x 600 mm – i.e. 990 x 590 mm useful) with rabbeted edges fitted with a smooth facing with bevelled edges, Knauf Périboard ULTRA+ is intended for exterior insulation of facade feet.
It applies to basement walls (categories 1, 2 and 3 defined according to DTU 20.1) on masonry of small elements, poured concrete, precast concrete and double concrete walls. Another advantage of the Knauf Periboard ULTRA+, the complex, which claims a Euroclass B-s1, d0 reaction to fire (up to thickness 110 + 10 mm) is an all-in-1 including a facing plate, and requiring no additional finish, for a significant time saving during installation. Available in 8 thicknesses (40/60/70/70/90/110/130/150/175 and 195 + 10 mm), Knauf Periboard ULTRA+ displays thermal performance from 1,25 to 6,25 m2.K/W.
The second innovation of the new Knauf offer, Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA, is an ideal and optimized response for the insulation and drainage of buried walls at the most common burial depths (less than 4 meters), thus judiciously completing the solution. Knauf Perimaxx Resist which can be used up to 8 m deep.
Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA is a rigid panel (1265 x 615 mm overall, i.e. 1 x 250 mm useful) in gray molded EPS with four rabbeted edges including a geotextile filter facing, with diamond-shaped drainage studs for ensure the flow of runoff water.
It should be noted that this drainage integrated into the panel (flow capacity of 1,26 liters/(sm) under pressure of 20 kPa), completely replaces the addition of a sheet with independent growth for buried walls, which reduces the time implementation and costs.
In addition, Knauf indicates that Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA has a very low water and water vapor absorption capacity, a guarantee for the durability of the insulation performance over time of the solution (Only 3% absorption by total immersion or by long-term water vapor diffusion). If Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA also has a Euroclass E fire reaction (insulation only) according to CSTB classification report n°RA21-0102, it displays a thermal conductivity of 0,0307 W/mK and a compressive strength of 10%. deformation according to EN826 of CS (10) 100, i.e. 100 kPa minimum.
Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA has been validated by a New Technique Survey and its characteristics comply with Professional Recommendations No. 2 of the CFSE and certified by ACERMI. Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA is intended for external thermal insulation, drainage and filtration of backfill water from the buried walls of category 1, 2 and 3 walls of public buildings, residential buildings, industrial and agricultural tertiary sectors. It applies to masonry walls of small elements, shuttered concrete, precast concrete, concrete pre-wall and method of wall in EPS insulating formwork elements with a technical assessment.
Finally, Knauf Perimaxx ULTRA is available in 8 thicknesses (68/88/108/128/148/168/188/208 mm) for thermal resistance performance ranging from 1,95 to 6,50 m2.K/W.
Knauf Perimaxx Resist and Knauf Therm Soubassement SE, the other Knauf solutions
To meet a maximum of site configurations, Knauf Perimaxx Resist and Knauf Therm Soubassement SE remain in the range. The first stands out for its qualities of integrated drainage of runoff water and also replaces the addition of an independent outgrowth sheet for buried walls, it claims a burial depth of up to 3 basement levels. i.e. 8 meters maximum, for thermal resistances ranging from 1,85 m2.K/W (thickness 68 mm) to 6,15 m².K/W in thickness 208 mm.
For coated or buried finishes, without the need for drainage, Knauf Therm Soubassement SE (1200 x 600 mm panel), in addition to reducing thermal bridges, also provides effective protection of the basement during the placement of shallow backfill. . With high mechanical strength, it is available in thicknesses optimized to meet regulatory requirements, with a maximum burial depth of up to 2,40 m, for thermal performance ranging from 0,55 to 11,25 m2.K/ W (for respective thicknesses of 20 and 400 mm).
Selection guide, cctp...: available knauf resources
As is now tradition, Knauf accompanies this offer with a selection guide available online. A simple and interactive tool which makes it possible to ensure the choice of the best solution for the insulation of basements and buried walls according to the type of building, the category of wall and the value of thermal resistance sought.
This guide is also supplemented by a base of standard descriptions in a rich technical library of more than 2500 references to be integrated into the CCTPs and by Knauf BatiChiffrage which estimates the supply and installation, quantifies the cost of the site, calculates the execution times indicative, …
A word from the Market Manager, Gérard Persuy
This new offer responds to current challenges in the design of new buildings and their renovation: reduction of the carbon impact of construction products, reduction of energy consumption of buildings to heat or cool them and sustainability of performance.
