Somfy launches Animeo suite, an ecosystem of automation products and services for buildings

In this context, Somfy is launching Animeo® suite, an ecosystem of value-added products and services to automate solar protection for commercial buildings.

Automated solar protection should be the first solution to regulate the temperature of buildings

The automation of solar protections is essential to reduce the use of heating in winter by taking advantage of the free energy of the sun and to limit the rise in temperature in summer to reduce the use of air conditioning.

• In winter, during the day, the sun shades open to let the natural heat of the sun enter through the windows. In the evening, they close automatically to keep the heat inside.
• In summer, the sunshades close automatically to block the sun and ensure a cooler and more pleasant interior, thus reducing the use of air conditioning.

Animeo® suite is an ecosystem of products and services to automate solar protections equipped with io-homecontrol® radio motors for commercial buildings with up to 200 windows.

Made up of 3 interfaces, Animeo® suite supports installers completely independently, from specification to commissioning, including control and maintenance.

Animeo® select allows you to configure projects with ease: based on the required specifications and the building configuration, the tool generates a suitable technical report including the necessary products, a wiring diagram and technical data.

With intuitive and rapid 3D building modeling, all the stages of setting up a tertiary project are simplified.

Architecture, number of windows per floor, orientation... everything is taken into account to optimize the automation of solar protection. Guidance at each stage makes the installer completely autonomous until the transmission to the building manager of a dashboard allowing the visualization of the system's operating data.

The installer can then modify the settings remotely at any time, without having to travel.

Animeo® maintenance by Serv-e-Go, for remote project monitoring and maintenance

With remote access, the installer can view site data and perform diagnostics. This allows them to reduce the number of trips to the site and minimise disruption to building occupants.

To accompany these services, three product packs are available:

• The standard pack for centralization (Interface with a central control, priority management and programmable clock).
• The weather pack for automation with weather data (integrating a weather station for sun protection safety, visual and thermal comfort automation).
• The pack dedicated to building security, which allows the link to be made with the alarm systems installed in the building (fire, PPMS, etc.).

These three packs integrate io-homecontrol® radio technology, one of the most relevant radio protocols in Europe today, thanks to its reliable and ultra-secure radio transmission, its exhaustive feedback, its flexibility and its compatibility with a wide range of Somfy motors to adapt to all types of projects.
