Somfy launches Amy io, the new range of control points to improve energy efficiency

To help residents optimize the energy efficiency of their homes, Somfy, world leader in door and window automation, is launching Amy® io, a brand new range of control points which makes solar protection intelligent by lowering them before so that it doesn't get too hot.

A cooler habitat in summer

The flagship product of the range, Amy® sun protect io is equipped with an interior temperature sensor and on-board intelligence which chooses the right moment to lower the roller shutters before it gets too hot.

The algorithm detects the rapid rise in temperature in the room and lowers the shutters to 80% to guarantee a temperate interior. Freshness is thus preserved, even in the absence of the occupant.

Energy efficiency all year round thanks to TaHoma® switch

The Amy® io* range integrates an indoor temperature sensor which, connected to TaHoma, allows you to configure a scenario that lowers the sun protection to preserve coolness in the home in summer. In winter, it also helps to make the most of the free energy provided by the sun.

The user also benefits from a wide choice of customization to best adapt to their needs: it is thus possible to modify the temperature threshold and personalize the closing rate of the sun protections.

In addition, the Amy® io range automatically integrates into the “Thermal Comfort” scenario integrated into the TaHoma App so that energy efficiency is even more effective, without having to think about it. This scenario guides users step by step to configure a personalized scenario based on their needs and lifestyle habits.
