It is now possible for owners of Somfy's TaHoma application to control their Daikin air/air or air/water heat pump solution.
The connected house at the service of energy performance
In a context where the increase in heat waves reminds us of the urgency of optimizing energy performance, the management of heating and air conditioning plays a key role in the thermal comfort of housing.
With their partnership, Somfy and Daikin enable a greater number of users to benefit from connected solutions, for greater everyday simplicity, while improving the energy performance of their homes.
For Angélique Longeray, Managing Director Somfy France: “Somfy has made openness and interoperability a pillar of its strategy with the launch of the “So Open” program in 2018. Our TaHoma solution is compatible with nearly 300 types of household products, and we are proud to expand this ecosystem today with Daikin, a leading brand in its field. With this partnership, we want to offer users a simplified and unified experience of connected housing, but also allow them to manage energy performance more effectively. »
Couple the heating and air conditioning control with the roller shutters to save energy
It is now possible for owners of Somfy's TaHoma application to simply control their heating or air conditioning, from home or remotely. If they realize, for example, that they have forgotten to turn off the heating before leaving for several days, they can do so easily from their smartphone, wherever they are.
For more energy performance, users can also create scenarios coupling heating control with rolling shutters. For example, during the day in winter, the roller shutters remain open to take advantage of the free heat from the sun and the heating is in eco mode. In the evening, the shutters close at nightfall to keep the heat in and the heating switches to comfort mode. In summer, during the day, the shutters close automatically to block the sun's rays, helping to maintain the coolness and limit the use of air conditioning.
For François Deroche, Marketing Director of Daikin France: "This partnership with Somfy, a historic player in the market of digital tools for the connected home, is a good illustration of our desire to extend the compatibility of our solutions with recognized and efficient platforms in order to offer end users a multiple choice. functionality while remaining on site, or remotely, always with the leitmotif of maximizing energy savings. »
