A thermostatic mixer
Available in a corrosion-resistant raw brass or nickel-plated finish, the Watts MMV-S thermostatic mixer is specifically designed for solar energy systems for the production of domestic hot water that require high flow rates and can operate continuously using high-temperature hot water from the storage tank. Easy to install in any position, it features:
- of a wax technology element which allows it to withstand temperatures of up to 110°C,
- a control button with graduated scale (5 adjustment positions),
- a lockable button preventing the end user from adjusting the temperature,
- of an immediate integrated safety in the event of a cut in the cold or hot water supply,
- with a PTFE interior coating which prevents limescale deposits.
Its robust design guarantees superior reliability over time. Equipped with an immediate anti-scald safety feature in the event of a cold or hot water interruption (compliant with EN1111 and EN 1287 standards) and benefiting from the Health Conformity Certificate (ACS), the MMV-S thermostatic mixer ensures excellent stability of the mixed water temperature with an accuracy of +/-2 °C.
A solar safety valve
Designed to protect solar panel installations in accordance with DIN 4757, the Watts solar safety valve prevents excessive pressure build-up in the circuit. TÜV Solar certified, it consists of a brass body and spring cover and a reinforced resin operating button resistant to UV rays. With a fixed setting of 3,5 to 10 bar, its membrane and seat withstand a maximum operating temperature of 160°C.
A solar expansion tank
Used to absorb variations in water volumes in solar installations, the Watts expansion tank helps to stabilize the additional pressure caused by the accumulation of heat in the system. Compliant with current European standards, it is internally equipped with a special rubber bladder that gives it high impermeability, great elasticity and resistance to high temperatures (up to 110°C).
With a vase diameter of 280 to 410 mm depending on the capacity (12 to 80 litres on foot), it is supplied with wall mounting brackets for the 35 and 50 litre models.
A controllable anti-pollution valve for EA type health protection
Mounted directly after the meters (from caliber 15 to 40), the WF valve protects drinking water networks against the return of fluids that do not present a toxic or microbiological risk to human health (cat. 1 and/or 2), against the return of hot water into cold water, and prevents damage due to water hammer. With its unique design, the Watts WF rotating nut model offers significant advantages:
- the insert is made practically inseparable from the brass body by a patented attachment system which supports even abnormally high flow rates,
- complete sealing even with very low back pressure,
- perfect operation in all positions,
- very high resistance to tightening of the nut fixed by a steel ring.
Thanks to an exclusive split rod guide system that eliminates play and the optimal hydraulic profile of the valve that allows ideal fluid penetration, vibrations, and therefore any noise that results from them, are eliminated. By ensuring this play-free guidance, limescale deposits are also avoided, thus guaranteeing impeccable and silent operation for years.
A FlowBox solar hydraulic module
Essential for the proper functioning of a heat and hot water production installation using solar collectors, the FLOWBOX Solar DN20 solar hydraulic module is used for distributing water from a heat source to the heating circuit or a storage tank.
Compact and ready to install, its triple thermally insulated housing for electronic and hydraulic components integrates 5 elements in 1:
- a pre-wired high-efficiency circulator and factory solar controls,
- a balancing valve with filling and draining and a safety valve with pressure gauge,
- taps equipped with a thermometer (flow – return temperature from 0 to 120°C),
- a solar safety valve set at 6 bar,
- a non-return valve.
Pre-assembled in the factory and delivered with its connection parts (22 mm up to 36 l/min, 28 mm up to 42,5 l/min) and wall bracket included, the assembly reduces the risk of leakage and represents a real time saving during installation. Available with or without the high-efficiency circulator, the Watts solar hydraulic module ensures perfect hydraulic distribution in the heating circuit.
