Measures to support tenants in difficulty to pay their charges: the HLM movement and tenant associations signed, Thursday, November 24, a charter to deal with the energy crisis.
In this charter, the landlords undertake in particular not to initiate “procedures against tenants in good faith encountering payment difficulties due to the increase in charges” linked to the energy crisis.
“The levels of anguish and anxiety are very strong in the territories” as to the increase in charges and especially their amount, for the moment unknown, recalled Romain Biessy, secretary of the Trade Union Confederation of Families.
HLM organizations therefore undertake to "limit the impact of increases in charges", with a smoothing of anticipated variations in energy costs.
The HLM movement, made up in particular of the Social Union for Housing (USH, representative organization of the HLM sector), also calls on all organizations to intervene on housing "that has not yet benefited from energy renovation". or including energy-intensive heaters.
