Sochaux optimizes the energy consumption of 18 municipal buildings with ENGIE Solutions

From the first year of the contract, all of the work planned within the framework of this CPE was able to be carried out, thus quickly ensuring that the CO₂ savings target set was achieved.

Concluded for a period of ten years, this contract responds to the ambition of the city of Sochaux to reduce the city's energy consumption while ensuring better comfort for the occupants of these buildings.

ENGIE Solutions has undertaken, within the framework of this CPE, to reduce the total CO20 emissions of the buildings concerned by 2%, i.e. 831 tonnes of CO₂ avoided per year.

It is mainly through the renewal of the energy production facilities in these buildings and various digital solutions for optimizing consumption that the savings were quickly observed, already reaching the annual savings target set.

The buildings concerned by these works and these energy optimizations are: the Halle des sports, the elementary school Simone VEIL and the music school, the buildings of the technical services, the summer camp and the school canteen of Petit Bois and the Cité Administrative .

Digital-guided energy optimization for the Cité Administrative

Particular attention was paid to the Cité Administrative, one of the most energy-intensive sites in the city, which has the particularity of being made up of 19 zones with varying uses.

Simple to install and operate, the Vertuoz Control solution is a digital device that optimizes the energy performance of buildings by remotely controlling the distribution of heat, zone by zone, thanks to connected objects and Artificial Intelligence.

This solution, perfectly adapted to the problems of this building, allows on the one hand the energy to be diffused only when it is necessary (according to the actual occupation of the zones), and on the other hand, to improve and standardize occupant comfort throughout the building.

The commissioning of Vertuoz Control involves the installation of 108 IoT/connected objects including:

• 86 connected valves (one per radiator).
• 22 temperature and presence sensors.

Labeled by the Solar Impulse Foundation, Vertuoz is also one of the solutions recognized as having a positive impact on the planet, both in economic and environmental terms.
