SNPU presents its "focus" on the implementation of polyurethane insulating panels in buildings

The production of this tool brought together a group of technical experts from the SNPU, the UNA Plumbing Heating and the UNA Plaster and Insulation Trades and Techniques. Designed for quick and easy reading, it consists of three chapters: "Characteristics of polyurethane insulation", "Interior insulation" and "Exterior insulation". Over the twenty-four pages, the reader has access to pragmatic information richly illustrated with diagrams.

It was on the stand that he held at the Professional Days of CAPEB, from April 10 to 12 in Nice, that the SNPU launched this Focus. It is now downloadable on the site www.snpu.fr and available to all its members (IKO Insulations, KNAUF SAS, RECTICEL Insulation, Groupe SOPREMA and UNILIN Insulation).

The essentials of the polyurethane panel

This tool opens on the definition and the properties which characterize this insulation solution arousing a growing interest: lightness, low thickness, mechanical resistance, thermal performance, durability. Information relating to environmental or fire regulations, or relating to technical points such as air tightness or humidity, are explained in a simple and educational manner. A summary table provides an overview of the wide range of panels available for each need.

Air blade, vapor barrier and fixings, so many practical questions that artisans ask themselves and to which this brochure answers. For each application, the fields of use (individual house, ERP, etc.) and the additional components, essential or not, are indicated. A captioned diagram makes reading easier. Inserts draw attention to “Special cases” such as that of the air space on a wet wall (DTU 25.42) or in the lost roof space.
