Joël Giraud is delighted "that the MCTRCT, the ANCT and CMA France affirm, through this agreement, their desire to act in common". The Secretary of State underlines that "territorial attractiveness cannot be conceived without crafts and trade" and that these sectors of activity "are part of the identity of hundreds, thousands of small towns and town centers. which mesh and structure the rural world ”.
This tripartite agreement is the fulfillment of CMA France's commitment alongside ANCT for the implementation of revitalization programs, “City Heart Action” and now “Small Towns of Tomorrow”.
Concretely, the agreement notably provides for mobilizing the CMA network to provide engineering support to the communities concerned in the development and implementation of their revitalization projects. By carrying out territorial diagnostics provided for by the “Small Towns of Tomorrow” program and implementing action plans carried out with the selected cities, the CMAs will intervene to preserve, develop and enhance the presence of crafts in the cities. territories.
The CMAs thus provide the municipalities of the PVD program with their expertise in local craftsmanship and provide them with national tools, including digital diagnostics and ecological transition diagnostics carried out free of charge with craft businesses. Likewise, the site is made available www.aides-entreprises.fr which lists the aid that can be mobilized by companies in the territories, all sectors combined, as well as the repair directory and the tools to raise awareness of local repair by craftsmen as part of the “Repar'Actors” action. Joël Giraud hailed “a fine example of support for the local economy” and “concrete action for the environment”.
The partnership concluded also provides for the creation of a special mention "Small Towns of Tomorrow" on the occasion of the third edition of the national prize organized by CMA France "Ma Ville, Mon Artisan" 2021 whose applications close on September 30, the awards ceremony will take place on the occasion of the Congress of Mayors.
For Joël Giraud, Secretary of State to the Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities, in charge of Rurality, “There is no living rurality without small towns, without the town-centers which radiate out over a territory. And no small town, no town center can fully assume its function of centrality without attractive trade, without dynamic crafts. This is why these sectors must be supported and this is why we need the commitment of the chambers of trades and crafts for the Small Towns of Tomorrow. I am therefore pleased that this partnership has been sealed today between the CMA France network and the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion. This convention is an additional stone to the edifice that we are building to promote rural territories ”.
For Caroline Cayeux, president of the ANCT, “CMA France and the local chambers of trades and crafts are partners from the start of the program: this multi-year partnership reinforces this collective dynamic at the service of businesses and craftsmen in our regions, and of the Small-town communities of tomorrow. "
For Joël Fourny, president of CMA France, “Crafts are the lungs of regions, with their services, local jobs and a formidable training tool available to young people or adults in retraining. It is therefore natural that the CMA network, actor of the last km of public policies, should be alongside the State to contribute to the implementation of revitalization programs. With more than 316.000 craft businesses in the 1 municipalities of the program, the stakes are high, and this agreement is also an opportunity to promote a local, sustainable and efficient economic model. The CMAs will be able to take up this challenge and prove that craftsmanship, a pillar of the economy of small towns, is more than ever a sector of the future ”
