Würth A10 silicone sealant: a new high performance

In the current context of shortage of raw materials, this novelty in the field of silicones represents a very good quality alternative. This putty is a technical solution of very good quality and has an odorless neutral base for optimal working comfort.

Thanks to its premium Alcoxy type quality, this mastic is more respectful of users and the environment. It is versatile and has very good adhesion characteristics on a large number of surfaces and substrates encountered in the construction industry.

A strong technicality

It has great ease of extrusion at any temperature. Its high density allows it to be easily smoothed, for an exceptional finish at the level of the seals. Its versatility allows optimal adhesion on many supports, in particular on PVC as well as on lacquered or anodized aluminium. The new A10 Würth putty has the SNJF Facade and Glazing labels, a declaration of performance (DOP) and an A+ classification for the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is resistant to UV, external chemical attacks, rain, temperature and aging.

Areas of application

Perfectly suited for making seals and gluing in the fields of construction and carpentry. It is also an elastic shutter in glazing and mirrors, on thermo-lacquered or anodized aluminum frames, curtain walls and facades. Its properties give it very good adhesion on aluminium, anodised aluminium, copper, steel, zinc-plated steel, stainless steel, zinc, polyester, polystyrene, glass, PVC, wood, concrete, etc.

Use – instructions for use

The application is carried out using a manual, pneumatic or battery gun. Then use a spatula to smooth the mastic. For an optimal finish, use a smoothing agent. The removal of mastic which is still fresh and not cross-linked is done using a suitable, non-aggressive solvent. Only mechanical action can remove the dry putty.
