The personality of this villa is revealed in the slender and cubic lines drawn by Loic Ruffat (L + R Architecture), elegantly handling, straight and parallelepipeds, lines following the steps of a composition with obvious simplicity and non ostentatious refinement.
A challenge met by a mostly horizontal writing, sober and permeable inside-outside. Selected from two other agencies, L + R Architecture has adapted to the wishes of an owner who is very involved in their desire for a habitat in mimicry and in harmony with the geography of the place.
Located in the South Loire in Nantes (44), with a private quay near a green branch of the Loire, “this villa could have been approached more head-on, but I preferred the idea of working on a low range in a context of withdrawal, and chosen to further deploy the 300 m² of this spacious house on the ground by creating a double height by the effects of caps and dislocation of the structure, ”recalls Loic Ruffat.
Beneath his classicism, aware of the reality on the ground, hides all the elegance of an assumed modernity, "Inspired by a remarkable landscape setting and its exceptional location". The Nantes architect was responsible for the overall project from A to Z, from the design and implementation, functional and very studied comfort, to the interior layout and home automation with overall control and scripting (closings, heating, swimming pool, lighting, weather sensor, security…).
The heart of this achievement thus beats to the rhythm of a volumetry where the offsets play with rectangular subtractions hinging to each other. The low and high volumes thus define the roles in the same room, like the living room and the kitchen separated by removable partitions ...
The layout and the furniture capitalize on the same harmony of space with orchestrated breaks in perspectives and colors, chiaroscuro and transparencies.
A high comfort program
Essential material, light - natural and artificial - here skillfully staged, amplifies and shapes the character of the villa as well as the enhancement of well-being by the choice of generous and tall aluminum sliding windows. And follows an ideal trajectory throughout the seasons, between sun protection, light and thermal performance.
While adjustable sunshades and rolling shutters coexist upstairs, the wooden sliding panels in symbiosis with the facade, enliven the various points on the ground floor. "These claustras were interesting to use alternately to warm and soften a harder mineral facade", says Loic Ruffat, who also opted for a total immersion of the openings on the vast landscaped garden and the swimming pool, made in coherence with the refined architecture of the building.
The master suite which benefits from a Satin Road® corner frame designed by Profiles Systems, offers direct access to the terrace and the pool, abolishing the indoor-outdoor boundaries. "This junction requires great reliability and this new range of aluminum profiles with high energy efficiency, which optimizes, among other things, light transmission and solar gain, ensured the success of the operation", specifies Christophe Danion, Certified System Profiles Joiner and manufacturer-installer in Nivillac (56).
With a design that did not escape Loic Ruffat for the linearity of his straight lines and the anthracite 7016 granite shade: “The harmonization of the Profiles Systems ranges has enabled us to mix, in particular, the Satin Road® sliding doors, Pazco® impact frames, the Satin Moon® entry door and the bioclimatic aluminum pergola Wallis & Outdoor®, pool house with pool enclosure , for which we have added round steel posts. In addition, we were able to work out some more complex technical details with the gammist's design office. ”
Christophe Danion, whose 30 years of expertise relate to major projects in the Great West, adds, “We particularly appreciate their responsiveness and this ability to adapt to the most complicated configurations; the front door, for example, should not let the opening appear, and the services of this coordinated range enabled us to respond easily. ” By capturing the sensitive matter of its subject, Loic Ruffat realized with its partners the dream of its occupants.
