Crossing the Wainganga River in the state of Maharashtra in India, the Ambhora Village Bridge was designed by architectural firm Ashfaque Ahmed to connect local communities. The aerial gallery overlooking the central pylon of the bridge is also a major tourist attraction for the region, offering stunning panoramic views of the landscape.
The design of the Ambhora Bridge, the first structure of its kind in the state of Maharashtra, represents a major architectural challenge. With a length of almost 705 meters, this bridge has a colossal central pylon and four secondary pylons. An infrastructure that connects the districts of Bhandara and Nagpur and facilitates movement between different local communities.
The aerial gallery of the central pylon, rising 40 meters above the water, is a unique and essential architectural element for tourism in the region. Its futuristic design and its pronounced and colorful night lighting make it attractive.
