Audit operators but also installers or designers will be able to access it free of charge via their tablet, computer or smartphone and carry out their assessments in just two half-days. Innovative and intuitive, it is currently being tested in real conditions to improve its technical relevance and ergonomics. To finalize this campaign, the project team is calling on the contracting authorities. They can offer their house (s) and thus benefit from a free evaluation.
A 2-step assessment using a mobile application
To assess the energy performance of a building's systems, the SEREINE team has designed a mobile application covering the main heating, domestic hot water, ventilation, cooling and lighting equipment. Unlike the envelope, whose performance can be measured, this is a qualitative assessment which consists of verifying that good design, implementation and adjustment practices have been observed, through nearly 200 verifications on 60 different systems.
Spread over two half-days, this assessment takes place in 2 stages. A documentary audit during which the operator collects the documents, specifies the configuration and checks design elements, based on the information available. And an on-site audit, with or without occupants, during which the operator updates the configuration based on what he sees on site, then checks the correct installation and adjustment of the equipment. This step involves visual findings and measurements. Once the assessment is complete, the application automatically generates a report that includes a visual summary and detailed results, with the items identified, any defects, as well as recommendations for correction.
An innovative and intuitive application, to be downloaded from the end of 2021
Available from the end of the year, the SEREINE Systems application has been designed to be as intuitive as possible and to make life easier for operators. To do this, the project team has planned for as many uses as possible, in order to design a flexible tool that adapts to the different operating modes of the auditors. Thus, the application can be used on tablets, as well as on smartphones or computers and can work offline. Checks can be performed in any order. The operator has integrated help in the form of texts and illustrations for each check. He can stop whenever he wants and go back; the application constantly tells him where he is and what remains to be done. The report is generated automatically.
For Jean-Jacques Grain, audit operator at C.réf Bâti-Contrôle: "Project manager for 30 years, I have been waiting for a tool like SEREINE Systèmes for a long time. This application, both exhaustive and targeted, that I had the chance to use, guides you from start to finish to carry out the evaluations at your own pace and in the order you want. It is impossible to miss anything. At a time when the DPE will become enforceable, it will quickly become essential to the entire sector. times, it places the profession in an obligation of results. ”
A field-proven solution
To develop the SEREINE Systèmes application, improve its technical relevance and adjust its ergonomics, the project team confronted it in the field. With internal tests but also on-site experiments. Measurement operators, selected and trained, used it and formalized feedback. They will be the first ambassadors of its deployment. These tests will continue until the end of 2021. Project owners who wish to participate can apply by contacting: serene@qualiteconstruction.com.
Multiple possible uses
The first users of SEREINE Systèmes are of course the audit operators who assess the energy performance of the building upon acceptance of the works. But the application is also intended for designers, craftsmen installers or developers who can use it in self-checking. Finally, the SEREINE Systèmes solution will also deploy an open data platform to collect the anonymized results of audits, to help building and energy professionals by advancing knowledge in terms of configurations encountered, quality and loss experience.
