A necessary improvement in hygiene on French construction sites

At a time when hygiene on construction sites represents a major health and safety issue at work, a recent study carried out by the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) reveals that 25% of them lack a shared, connected or regularly maintained base camp. In addition, 70% of construction sites for individual houses do not have toilets, and 25% do not even have access to running water.

However, ensuring adequate hygiene is essential for the health and well-being of construction professionals. And for good reason, insufficient sanitary conditions can lead to illnesses, affecting both their health and their productivity and, consequently, the economic performance of the companies that employ them. Improving working conditions on construction sites is an integral part of the CSR approach and also helps to address the issue of the attractiveness of professions suffering from a difficult image, particularly among the younger generation.

• Top San® No Touch : mobile and requiring no connection to water, sanitation or electricity networks, Top San® No Touch is the first mobile chemical toilet cabin designed to guarantee a high level of hygiene. Thanks to its rotating steel belt with scraper, it guarantees total sealing of the effluent tank for optimal cleanliness. With an automatic pedal mechanism, the flush is activated without contact, which protects the user against bacteria and viruses. Its odor-free cleaning system ensures regular and effective maintenance with each use with clean water and an organic sanitizing liquid.

Top San® No Touch is also a sustainable stand-alone toilet, with zero energy consumption during use, waste reduction and maximum water savings (only 0,1 litres of water per use) and 95% recyclable at the end of its life. Versatile, this toilet is an ideal solution for all types of construction sites.

• Mobile base camp : essential on outdoor construction sites, the mobile base camp offers a complete solution with toilet, washbasin, cupboards, dining table and kitchen area to ensure employees have a comfortable and sheltered lunch break.

Equipped with a 220 V 16 A/h power supply and able to accommodate up to 6 people, this base camp combines a refectory, toilets and changing rooms in an optimized space.

• Toilet cabin on trailer: easily movable, this trailer-mounted sanitary cabin was designed to meet daily needs in a roaming context, particularly on short-term construction sites. It is equipped with a self-contained toilet in addition to one or two hand wash basins with soap dispensers. Thanks to an adjustable drawbar, the trailer can be towed by a Light Vehicle and can be used both hitched (to quickly move from zone to zone) and propped up (detached to stay on site).
• Modular 14 WC : compact and able to accommodate 14 users, this 6-metre-long unit, combining functionality and aesthetics, is ideal for construction sites and public spaces. Each toilet is independent and accessible from the outside, with three external hand-washing stations equipped with mirrors and soap dispensers.

Usable with connection to the water and sewer network, or in a stand-alone version thanks to effluent tanks, the Modular 14 WC offers a flexible and easily deployable solution for medium and large construction sites.
