Schenker Stores presents its new Adjustable Sun Louver with integrated mosquito net

In summer, the mosquito becomes not only a disturbing parasite, but also a health risk. As a reminder, the tiger mosquito has gradually settled in France, colonizing 80% of the departments in 20 years. Initially present in the southeast, it has extended its presence to the west, Alsace, the Paris region, and recently Normandy in 2023.

In 2023, only 10 metropolitan departments remained unaffected. This expansion poses an increased health risk, particularly for the transmission of diseases such as dengue, Zika, and Chikungunya.

The BSOs with Z-type slats VR 90 and VR 70, with hemmed slats KR80 and with flat slats EC70 all offer an integrated insect screen in their compact guide system, and represent innovative and elegant solutions for optimum protection against insects.

BSO with integrated mosquito net for optimal comfort

Schenker Stores has equipped these adjustable sun blinds with an integrated mosquito net, capable of covering surfaces of up to 3 metres, making them ideal for bay windows and perfectly suited to both individual homes and commercial buildings.
While maintaining natural light and ventilation, these BSOs provide optimum solar protection. They allow precise and continuous control of natural light, adapting optimally to various architectural configurations, both aesthetically and technically. The blades are equipped with a seal that offers a good level of obscuration. In the closed position, these adjustable aluminium blades allow efficient management of solar gain, thus helping to reduce energy costs.

Integrated insect protection in a compact and elegant design

On the BSO, the mosquito net is integrated into a compact combined guide system, providing effective protection against insects, even when the window is open.
Easy to maintain and weather-resistant, this insect screen is integrated into a single guide, which manages both the slats and the insect screen blind. Both elements are installed compactly in the lintel, which is not only aesthetically pleasing in a confined space, but also offers an elegant solution with all the advantages of reliable insect protection. This system combines aesthetics, functionality and robustness, while adapting perfectly to confined spaces.

It was notably presented at the Batimat trade fair in its motorized version, offering additional user comfort, but it is also available in a manual version to meet all needs.
