Residential heat pumps market 2020

In 2020, with 900.070 air / air and air / water heaters sold, to which are added 109.500 thermodynamic water heaters (CET), aerothermal equipment increased by 8%.

Air / air heat pumps are the flagship equipment of the sector with a market estimated at over 729.680 units and remain the best-selling equipment in the field of individual central heating systems in 2020. As for CET, the market fell slightly (-8%) but remained above the 100.000 unit mark .

For its part, with 3 units sold, the geothermal heat pump market fell 005% to its level of 14. The aid was not enough to offset the drop in activity and demand caused by the health crisis. . This technology, which nevertheless displays an efficient energy and economic balance over its lifetime, remains very little known to the general public. It is the collective market that seems to drive the dynamism of the sector.
