The FFB intends to use all its weight for constructive social dialogue
Following the publication of the results of the audience measurement in matters of employer representativeness by the High Council for Social Dialogue, the FFB remains the first representative employers' organization in the building sector.
If it consolidates its weight in terms of extension (89,51%) within the scope of companies employing more than 10 employees, thus allowing it to remain in the majority within the scope of three national collective building agreements (Workers in companies employing more than 10 employees, ETAM, and Cadres), the FFB observes that its weight is set at 49,2% in the field of companies employing up to 10 employees.
Thanks to the thousands of business leaders of all sizes who place their trust in it, the FFB therefore remains broadly representative in the entire profession. On the strength of this representativeness, it intends to conduct a new high-quality social dialogue guaranteeing the unity of the sector.
Indeed, the higher stakes of the 21st century which await craftsmen and entrepreneurs, in particular the digital and ecological transition, require a modern and innovative social approach. The FFB will be able to respond present with determination and responsibility.
President Olivier Salleron reacts: “The FFB remains the first representative employers' organization in the building industry and relies on the responsibility of all the authorities in the sector to maintain the unity of the sector. It will continue to promote quality tools for the benefit of companies and their employees. "
CAPEB recognized as the majority in the field of companies employing up to 10 employees
The Confederation of Crafts and Small Building Companies (CAPEB) remains the leading employers' organization in France in terms of the number of member companies and retains its representation of all construction companies. Now fully majority in the field of companies with up to ten employees, it has a right of opposition in this field. However, the CAPEB will continue to denounce the unjust and unfair rules for measuring representativeness and again asks the Prime Minister to initiate a parliamentary mission on the subject.
A victory for the representativeness of VSEs in the building industry: 63,49%
The weighing of the representativeness of employers' organizations gives the CAPEB 54 member companies in the field of companies with up to ten employees (i.e. 042% of unionized companies in this field) and 63,49 member companies with more than ten employees. (i.e. 3% of this category of companies). In terms of number of employees, the weight of the CAPEB is therefore 084% (19,03 employees work in companies with up to ten employees and who adhere to the CAPEB) and 50,8% (125) on that companies with more than ten.
CAPEB is now the majority in the field of companies with up to ten employees, whether in number of companies or in number of employees, and therefore obtains a right of opposition in this field. The CAPEB can therefore now, when it deems it necessary, oppose an agreement targeting companies employing up to 10 employees.
Jean-Christophe REPON, President of CAPEB, declares: “CAPEB fully regains its right to speak out. It is a fair turnaround, which will, I hope, allow a return to a more balanced and peaceful social dialogue. CAPEB is now waiting for the Minister of Labor to publish the decree of representativeness. For the moment, I want to share this victory with all the departmental CAPEBs who have contributed to this building of the measure of representativeness. Despite this excellent result, we will nevertheless continue to demand a change in the current rules for measuring representativeness which penalize representatives of small businesses.
In the future, the CAPEB asks that the employers' hearing be determined on the basis of more just and equitable rules, with in particular the establishment of a symmetrical right of opposition, right of opposition which would be calculated either on the number of employees or on the number of companies and not, as today, only on the number of employees. The CAPEB therefore calls for a parliamentary mission and a legislative review on the rules of representativeness of employers' organizations. She will not fail to challenge the candidates for the presidential and legislative elections on this subject.
