Faced with a situation that has become untenable for craftsmen and building contractors, the FFB is taking legal action and is holding the State accountable for its responsibilities regarding the REP PMCB (Extended Producer Responsibility for Construction Products and Materials in the Building Sector) system.
Indeed, the State has clearly failed in its oversight of eco-organizations and in the application of the law. The FFB therefore intends to force it to act, in particular by ensuring that eco-organizations comply with the specifications providing for the free collection of waste.
Across France, feedback from the field demonstrates the constant exasperation of professionals: paying ever more for a waste collection service that has been reduced to next to nothing.
For months, the FFB has been the voice of business leaders within the REP Building sector, and has continued to fight to correct the abuses observed.
For Olivier Salleron, president of the FFB: "The FFB's objective is clear: we must simplify the system and, above all, make it truly operational and effective. At the same time, the FFB will continue to explore all possible avenues to protect its members and put an end to the deadlock they are experiencing. We will not give up!"
