The old parts of the building have not been touched; no works of art or furnishings belonging to public collections, the Al Thani Collection or the collection of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca' d'Oro, currently exhibited in the galleries of the Al Thani Collection, have been damaged.
As of January 1, the Center des monuments nationaux began protecting the infrastructure and repairing the damage. It is thus able to welcome visitors again to the heritage spaces of the Hôtel de la Marine (Intendants' apartments, ceremonial lounges and loggia) since Thursday 5 January afternoon. The Al Thani Collection exhibition galleries will reopen in the coming days after some technical checks. The Café Lapérouse and the Mathieu Lustrerie workshops were also able to open their doors on January 5, 2023.
