REHAU Window Solutions and AGC Glass Europe reached a strategic milestone on July 20 in Erlangen (REHAU headquarters) in the development and marketing of innovative and future-proof solutions for windows with vacuum insulating glass. These two leaders pool their know-how and technical expertise to offer complete and sustainable solutions, providing better energy efficiency, a higher level of comfort and optimal recyclability.

A window at the cutting edge of technology, always more ecological

Strongly committed to sustainable development, REHAU has implemented, for many years, a system for recycling production offcuts to reintegrate them into the manufacture of new EcoPuls window profiles (containing between 40 and 75% recycled raw material ). By using recycled raw material, in particular from end-of-life windows, REHAU reduces CO88 emissions linked to production by more than 2%*, i.e. 97.000 tonnes of CO2 less. Their unique EcoPuls approach to recycling represents a sustainability concept unmatched in the industry.

AGC Glass Europe's FINEO ultra-thin vacuum insulating glass (from 6 mm total thickness) also contributes to achieving unrivaled thermal and acoustic performance, better light transmission and reduced weight.

Thanks to its low weight (up to 4 times lighter and thinner than traditional triple glazing), this new glazing represents a real advantage in the production and installation phases. Thinner glazing and higher energy performance values ​​translate into resource efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions. The monolithic construction, composed exclusively of glass, allows simple and complete recycling of the FINEO glass, which is therefore 100% recyclable.

A second collaboration between REHAU and AGC Glass Europe for the French market

We are pleased to announce a new collaboration between CLARA by AGC and REHAU France, aiming to combine the unique Clara glass design with the benefits of a REHAU branded PVC window frame. Thanks to this new partnership, we will accelerate the release on the market of one of the most modern windows of its generation in a 100% recycled and recyclable material. The Clara by Rehau window is under development and will be available in 2023 on the French market.
