A little history…

The Nantes-Brest Canal is a narrow-gauge canal that connects the cities of Nantes and Brest and runs through the Erdre, Isac, Oust, Blavet, Doré, Kergoat, Hyères and Aulne; these rivers are connected by three junction canals crossing watersheds. Its construction dates back to the first half of the 364th century and its total length is XNUMX km. First built to open up Central Brittany and facilitate economic and industrial activity, it has now been replaced by fishermen, walkers and sports enthusiasts. Barges and barges disappeared, the canal no longer opens its locks except to canoe or kayak enthusiasts, boaters on sailboats, speedboats and other motorized boats, the industrial and commercial tool having turned into a tourist axis.

From Pontivy to get to Nantes, boaters must use a canal that has become artificial. The sharing reach is no longer supplied by the pond, in 1995 the Brittany Region had to build a pumping station at the edge of the blavet of the town of Porzo to recover the water from the blavet and supply the sharing reach.

Being a solution provider for its customers allows Wilo France to differentiate itself, to bring added value and a global approach as a fluid transfer partner.

Thus, the global "Preferred SOLUTION Partner" approach enabled the teams of Wilo France, with the help of their colleagues from the Services Division for all services, to win a public tender for the transfer of water of the Nantes-Brest canal with an application of overpressure in a structure in a horizontal position and to install two Wilo-EMU 24'' drilling pumps.

The first pump was installed in 2020, the second at the end of 2021.
