Recyplac™: a major innovation from Siniat

But Siniat's ambition doesn't stop at gypsum recycling. All of the components used in the manufacture of this board—paper, additives, etc.—are also made from recycled materials, thus reinforcing the product's circular approach.

This new reference, called RECYPLAC, is the result of real research and development work, rewarded by a patent application. Designed, tested and validated on the pilot line in Carpentras (Vaucluse), it will be produced from July 2025 in the Etex factory in Ottmarsheim (Haut-Rhin).

With this innovation, Siniat asserts its industrial know-how and its ability to combine technical performance and reduction of environmental impact.

A strong commitment to responsible construction

A member of the international Etex group, Siniat is the European leader in the integration of recycled gypsum into its industrial processes. Some of its production units now use more than 35% recycled gypsum in the manufacture of plasterboard, representing several million square meters produced.

Between 2018 and 2024, the company increased its use of recycled gypsum by 34%. This effort is part of a global strategy to reduce its carbon footprint, with priority given to materials derived from reuse, particularly post-consumer gypsum collected locally.
