Recycled oyster mother-of-pearl into a permeable and aesthetic covering at Omer's cabin in Marennes-Oléron

A first which draws on the know-how of Résinéo®, a French brand of permeable coatings developed by LRVision, which focuses its research and development work according to two priorities: developing permeable coatings from recycled materials, without making impasse on the resistance and aesthetics of its products.

Thus, after cork for its tree towers and its Ecoflex (press releases on request), it is a mottled version of mother-of-pearl which integrates its range of decorative coverings intended for individuals and communities.

Mother-of-pearl from oyster shells for the new terrace of Omer's cabin

The renovation project for the terrace of the Omer's cabin is part of a collaborative project for the overall renovation of the outdoor spaces of the cabin, carried out in partnership with the local exterior design company B2P. The entire 130m2 terrace has been renovated in Résineo® Quartz mottled with oyster mother-of-pearl, coupled with the creation of landscaping also using recycled oyster shells. The objective was to give character to the exterior of this cabin, famous in the region and very popular during the summer season.

The virtuous approach of this project is part of the desire to capitalize on recycled materials in order to exploit local material deposits, where they are found.

However, the technical and aesthetic challenges were important, in particular in order to be part of the continuity of the Résineo® offer: to offer permeable, aesthetic and resistant coatings, suitable both for intensive use by communities, but also for individuals. .

It is the latter which gives the product its resistance properties. The mother-of-pearl was duly selected to give the covering a unique aesthetic. The nuances and shine of mother-of-pearl are revealed when the sun falls on the covering. »
