Recticel Simfocor® receives the Solar Impulse environmental efficiency label

This label is awarded to products, services or processes that combine environmental and economic performance. It also means that Simfocor® joins the Solar Impulse Foundation's list of #1000+ Solutions selected for their contribution to sustainable economic growth.

Simfocor® is part of the innovative “Recticel Silence” insulation range which is currently marketed in France and Spain.

Recycled thermo-acoustic insulation for partitions

In France, the social cost of noise pollution amounts to 147 billion euros in 2021, i.e. almost double the cost recorded in 2016*. The problem is compounded by a general trend towards smaller dwellings and collective buildings. Simfocor® meets this challenge with a thermo-acoustic solution designed for partitions. Easy to install yourself, the Simfocor® panels slip between the metal uprights of the partition and are covered by a plasterboard with a minimum thickness of 12,5 mm. Thus, Simfocor reduces sound intensity from room to room by up to 84%, which represents an improvement of 8 dB ΔRw, while offering good thermal performance. Simfocor® is also an environmentally friendly innovation. It is made of recycled PU foams from old mattresses, giving them a second life as a construction material.

The Solar Impulse Foundation

The Solar Impulse label was initiated by the visionary explorer Bertrand Piccard, who in 2016 completed the first round-the-world flight in a solar-powered electric plane. The Foundation seeks to address the challenges of sustainable development while ensuring economic viability.

Simfocor® now appears in the Foundation's Solutions Explorer, a unique search engine that showcases viable climate solutions.

This certification reflects Recticel's ongoing quest for sustainable innovation and its commitment to a global goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
