The Renewable Capacity Statistics 2025 report, published a few days ago by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), reveals a massive increase in renewable energy capacity during 2024, reaching 4.448 gigawatts (GW). Last year's addition of 585 GW represents 92,5% of the total capacity expansion and a record annual growth rate (15,1%).
