Publication of the practical guide CSTB Éditions "Glued tiling in new works" - 5th edition

CSTB Editions presents a guide that explains all the stages of laying glued tiles in a very illustrated way.

On the floor or on the wall, inside or outside, in dry or damp rooms, the glued installation of tiles must take into account multiple parameters to prevent disorders and ensure the durability of the work.

Before choosing a mortar-adhesive or an adhesive, the nature and condition of the substrate, the properties of the covering and the size of the tiles, as well as the constraints related to the location and destination of the work, must be considered.

This guide is based above all on the NF DTU 52.2 standard to specify and illustrate all the stages of the work, such as for example:

the tile formats and supports admissible on the interior wall;
the possibility of increasing the format of ceramic tiles (up to 10.000 cm2) under certain conditions;
the indication of the precautions to be taken in the presence of curing products on the support;
the definition of the reduced joint and the normal joint according to the dimensional tolerances of the covering element.

Thanks to this guide, tiling professionals (company, project owner, architect, control office, etc.) will be able to avoid errors in choice or implementation that could lead to problems.
