Publication of a guide for the management of condominiums

Entitled "Guide of the volunteer trustee: the keys to managing your co-ownership well", the guide, of around a hundred pages, is divided into 56 practical sheets on the aspects of co-ownership: legal rules, management, renovation...

It was drafted by Anah, a public body responsible in particular for private housing assistance, Anil (National Association for Information on Housing) and the consumer association CLCV (Consumption, Housing and Living Environment).

The syndic of co-ownership manages the common parts and charges of a building. It can be voluntary or cooperative, that is to say piloted by one or more co-owners, or professional, when it is entrusted to a company for a fee.

The challenge is to "avoid tipping condominiums in difficulty", writes the president of Anah, Thierry Repentin, in the introduction to the guide.

Syndic management, which involves administrative tasks and negotiations between co-owners on the expenses to be incurred, can sometimes be a source of difficulty.

As of January 1, 2022, nearly 32.000 volunteer trustees were registered in the register kept by Anah, representing 255.000 lots, i.e. rather small condominiums.
