Seigneurie® Premior Bas carbone: the high-resistance, low-carbon lacquers of excellence

Indeed, after the launches of paints with reduced carbon footprints (notably with the use of bio-sourced resins from 2022 or thanks to the use of recycled raw materials), both for interior decoration and for facades, Seigneurie® is initiating, with Premior Bas Carbone, the era of low-carbon lacquers.

These new Premior Low Carbon formulations, available in Matt, Satin and Gloss, will be the preferred choice for professionals, guaranteeing impeccable aesthetics combined with exceptional resistance.

Premior Low Carbon: three technologies working together for impeccable decoration, premium product performance and a reduced carbon footprint

While Premior lacquer paints were considered high-end references for decoration professionals, synonymous with ease of application and impeccable results, their new formulation is just as effective, and low carbon too.

With a very high-quality aesthetic, whatever the finish (Matte, Satin or Gloss), these lacquer paints stretched with polyurethane acrylic resins and recycled materials use three innovative technologies from Seigneurie®.

First of all, let's mention that they are 5 times more resistant to shocks and scratches than conventional lacquers thanks to BRS technology (Reinforced Barrier against dirt). It should be noted that this also has the advantage of forming a protective shield for the film against dirt and handprints.

The new Premior Low Carbon lacquers feature Recycled Materials technology, designed to drastically reduce natural resource consumption without compromising quality or performance. Seigneurie® incorporates recycled raw materials (MMA monomer – methyl methacrylate) from automotive headlight and LCD screen recycling streams into its resins. This technology results in an average reduction of 9% in their carbon footprint.

The third Seigneurie® technology deployed in this new generation of Premior Low Carbon lacquers is CO₂ Optimization®. This involves using one or more options aimed at reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of a paint, measured in CO2.₂e, contributes to the fight against climate change. The new Premier Low Carbon lacquers thus exhibit CO2 emissions₂The price has dropped by -8% for the matte finish, -10% for the satin finish and up to -25% for the gloss finish compared to its previous formulation!

Premior Bas Carbone: an exceptional level of performance

In addition to these environmental benefits, Premior Bas Carbone water-based lacquers are also very easy to apply, with no re-coating required, even on large surfaces. Furthermore, it should be noted that these new Seigneurie® paints are easy to maintain thanks to their high washability and are resistant to wet abrasion (class 1).

Designed for interior use on wood joinery, the new Premior Low Carbon lacquers offer a coverage of 12 to 14 m²/litre. Dust-free in 1 hour (Satin and Gloss – 2 hours for Matte), they can be applied mechanically but also with a brush, 8 and 10 mm polyester microfiber rollers or a spalter with simple cleaning with water.

Note that while the Satin and Gloss versions can be recoated in 5 hours, the Matte variant can be recoated in 6 hours.

With Excell Green Zone certification and classified A+ (VOC < 100 g/l) for indoor air quality, Premior Low Carbon lacquers are classified M1 according to the Finnish classification of emissions from construction materials.

They therefore open up access to construction sites with high environmental requirements such as HQE®, LEED® or BREEAM®.

Premior low carbon: creating value with color

Essentially decorative products, with an excellent smooth finish, the new Premior Low Carbon lacquers are available in the wide range of colors from the Chromatic® color chart (1170 inspiring shades).

They are also available in the 96 timeless shades of the new Living Collection®, 50% of whose shades have been revised this year.

It should also be noted that Seigneurie® has partnered with Uchronia, an architecture and design studio headed by Julien Sebban.

This colorful partnership, which provides Seigneurie® with the full expertise of a recognized interior design professional, was particularly evident in the renovation of the various spaces in Uchronia's new offices.

Indeed, Julien Sebban has chosen the new Premior low-carbon decorative lacquers to dress and punctuate his premises in multiple shades (gourd orange, ivy green, essia green, chestnut brown, bell green).

Packaged in 1, 3 and 10 litre pots, the new Premior Low Carbon lacquers are distributed at the recommended retail price starting from 53,53 euros per litre in white in 1 litre packaging.
