The Feillens site specializes in the manufacture of double-wall corrugated HDPE tubes and drains, as well as in the production of plastic boilermaking parts. As for the Valserhône factory, it is dedicated to the production of sheaths and sheaths intended for the passage and protection of different types of networks (energy, water, gas, telecom, etc.). Concerning the Valserhône site, construction work on a new factory has just begun to replace the current building dating from the 1950s. An investment of 15 million euros was therefore made in order to meet new regulatory and environmental constraints, but also with the aim of increasing the site's production capacity. With a total area of 6500 m2 for the building, the work will be completed at the end of 2024, with commissioning planned for the first half of 2025.
This new structure will be located on a former storage plot adjacent to the current factory, being the only viable solution found in Valserhône to maintain existing jobs. This new installation thus positions Polieco as a sustainable player in the Bellegardian, French and European landscape.
Ultimately, this new site will increase annual production capacity by around 30%.
For Alberto Tonelli, CEO at Polieco: « This growth will result from the installation of new production lines and the modernization of current production and logistics tools. This demonstrates our commitment to maintaining and developing local jobs, sustainable development and also our ability to respond to market developments. The objective is to improve our productivity by integrating new lines, but also modernizing existing lines. These investments will result in increased productivity and improved product availability, reinforcing our commitment to quality customer service. »
Growth driven by major challenges
Thanks to this new investment, Polieco is targeting an ambitious turnover by 2030. Indeed, the five-year business plan targets an increase in turnover of 15% by 2027, integrating a significant evolution due to the new site.
The opening of the new Polieco factory will be accompanied by a significant job creation dynamic. In addition to maintaining 50 jobs, the installation of additional production lines will allow the company to create around fifteen new positions. For several weeks, Polieco has already launched its recruitment campaign in order to strengthen its teams. The arrival of four new employees is planned for 2024 and more significant recruitment will be carried out in 2025.
Regarding recruitment areas, Polieco is currently looking for adjuster profiles, with planning for training throughout the coming year. This expansion will require the integration of new talents, notably electromechanics, operators and forklift drivers.
For Cécile Patriarca, HR at Polieco France: « This approach reflects our desire to develop a versatile and qualified team, thus contributing to the growth of the industry while meeting the specific needs of our activity. The impact on local employment will be significant. In the desire to promote local economic growth, Polieco will consolidate its partnerships with local stakeholders, in particular collaborations with the Mission Locale and the Adecco agency, by offering professional opportunities and promoting the development of skills in the region. »
Commitment to the environment: one of the fundamental pillars of Polieco
To reduce its environmental impact, the roof will be equipped with solar panels. The process water network has been carefully designed to minimize water consumption. In addition, a rainwater recovery tank will be installed to optimize the use of Polieco France's water resources. As part of this commitment to preserving the environment, all new equipment selected will be evaluated according to their energy efficiency, thus reinforcing Polieco France's eco-responsible approach.
For Alberto Tonelli: « This approach is part of our desire to actively contribute to the preservation of the environment while adopting responsible industrial practices. »
