The health crisis, which strongly impacted the activity of POINT.P, led the brand to resize and reorientate the support it provided to its group of high-level athletes. If the priority is the protection of its 11.000 employees and the gradual resumption of activity, sport is not forgotten.
The company has decided to step up the promotion of physical and sports activity, as a lever of well-being and therefore performance for its employees. Based on experience in sport for more than 20 years, POINT.P has acquired the conviction that an employee in good shape is a more efficient employee.
The whole ambition of the “All POINT.P Athletes” program is to spread a sport culture in the company to improve the Quality of Life at Work (QVT).
As part of the “Conquest 2025” shared vision process, the POINT.P teams have co-developed the company's strategy. They have given themselves 18 challenges to get there and in particular challenge n ° 10 “We want united teams who enjoy working together”. Promoting the pleasure of working together is a key to success in supporting the economic recovery and guaranteeing the best level of service to its customers. It is within this framework that POINT.P is launching its corporate sport program “All POINT.P Athletes” for its 11 employees.
“With“ All POINT.P Athletes ”, our brand is committed by transforming its presence in sport into a real lever for internal mobilization to improve the physical, mental and social well-being of our employees. Because employees in better shape are more efficient employees and we all have to gain from this. But in our mind, this goes beyond performance alone, it is a societal commitment, which aims to make the company a more human place, a more pleasant place to live. "
Nicolas Godet, POINT.P Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director of SaintGobain Distribution Bâtiment France
If the practice of a Physical and Sporting Activity (APS) is essential as a public health issue, it is because its benefits are unanimously recognized. In this context, companies are becoming more and more involved players, to integrate this dimension into the daily lives of their employees. With this program, POINT.P assumes this corporate social responsibility to work for Quality of Life at Work (QVT). Support for high-level athletes is therefore now placed at the service of this vision for the future.
The experience accumulated during the first two years of the “POINT.P Athletes” Team left a strong mark on the company. Despite the consequences of the crisis, it has influenced and guided the brand's reflections on the place and benefits of sport for its employees.
Three athletes have been selected by POINT.P to become ambassadors of this new program, in order to encourage, support and encourage employees to move more!
This is'Anne-Laure Florentin (Karate), ofAlexis hanquinquant (Paratriathlon) and Jordan broisin (Handiski).
Member of the “Performance Pact” since 2018, POINT.P has confirmed its support until December 31, 2021, to support the three champions, on the major sporting events of the coming year, in particular the Olympic and Paralympic.
The “All POINT.P Athletes” program started on September 14, 2020, and will be gradually enriched over time. It now includes three devices:
1. From September 14 to October 18, POINT.P organized its first internal connected challenge, by team and accessible to all regardless of their sporting level. The goal was to achieve the most physical activity (running, cycling and walking) in five weeks. This challenge met with great success internally, with more than 1 participants (nearly 500% of employees) who together covered 14 km by running and cycling. The operation, which strengthens internal cohesion, is intended to become a recurring event in the “All POINT.P Athletes” program.
The Retailer has also decided, with its employees, to donate € 6 to the “Support your Club” solidarity fund, in order to help the clubs most affected by the health crisis. Committed for more than 868 years in French sport, and for almost 20 years in the Performance Pact, it is natural for POINT.P to continue to support French sport through this donation, and to participate in the daily balance offered by our clubs.
2. National deployment of a daily warm-up system for employees in branch offices before taking up their post. Tested in a series of agencies since 2019, this "routine" will be distributed more widely to more than 800 agencies of the Brand. The objective is to better prepare employees for their working day, especially for jobs requiring physical handling efforts.
3. Finally, to encourage employees to take part in a sporting activity, a mechanism for co-financing bibs to participate in running races in the regions is also in place. This is built with the 11 regional offices of POINT.P and will take into account the wishes of employees in terms of choice of races.
