Taking advantage of a fundraising in January 2022 of $69 million, PlanRadar is consolidating its investments in R&D and has been offering new functionalities for 10 years now to meet the evolving needs of its 120.000 users in 65 countries.
PlanRadar thus announces a new functionality to allow its users to have better visibility on site monitoring during the construction or maintenance phase. In concrete terms, each user can scan QR codes present on the construction site with their mobile from the PlanRadar application and thus access all the details of an operation (tasks carried out, deadlines, anomalies noted, etc.) even in places without internet access.
Combined with NFC tags, this feature is a real asset for optimizing the operational monitoring of tasks while facilitating collaboration between all stakeholders on construction sites and during maintenance work. For example, it is now possible to simplify periodic maintenance activities (facility management) and to carry out regular monitoring of the proper functioning of fire safety equipment in a building. These functionalities also allow the traceability of equipment in the case of modular constructions. Materials can thus be precisely tracked and located as they are moved and assembled at every stage: from pre-delivery to quality control and delivery.
QR codes and NFC tags complement the software's existing application programming interface (API), to make information sharing faster and easier. This speed of information is made possible thanks to the association of NFC tags and information tickets. With the addition of QR codes, users can now choose the technology they prefer for working on site with PlanRadar.
In a context where the dissemination of information is now an essential prerequisite for the success of projects, QR codes and NFC tags make it possible to achieve excellent levels of communication and collaboration between teams. They are a simple and accessible way to provide up-to-date information and optimize the profitability and efficiency of a construction project.
These new functionalities are launched in a context of very strong dynamics for the company, which now has 400 employees worldwide. In 2022, the solution reached record levels of use, recording more than 9 billion interactions, more than 1,2 million plans added to the platform and 14 million images downloaded by the 120.000 users.
For Clemens Hammerl, Chief Product Officer and co-founder of PlanRadar: “We strive to provide our customers with the best on-site experience, making it easier to perform their day-to-day jobs efficiently. Associating QR codes with the PlanRadar solution was completely natural: it reduces the time required to search for information on a site and guarantees the reliability of information and documentation. Both QR codes and NFC tags can be used to obtain a wide variety of accessible information in real time. »
For Ibrahim Imam, co-president of PlanRadar: “The QR codes and the PlanRadar app are easy to use and require no prior knowledge or training. All you need is a mobile device. In addition to providing the most up-to-date information in a simple and cost-effective way, this combination eliminates the need to replace signs throughout the job site or in a building. »
