With the 360Score A + rating, Planet is the most eco-responsible cement bag available on the French market, a new innovation resulting from the Lafarge 360 ​​approach initiated in 2019 to lead the ecological transition in the building materials sector.

A bag of cement that brings together the best environmental know-how

Listening to the players in the trade and the GSB, anxious to meet the expectations of their customers for products that are more respectful of the environment, LafargeHolcim has designed an offer specially adapted to the format of the cement bag which consists of:

• The most carbon-optimized cement in the Lafarge range, whose CO² weight is reduced by -65% compared to a CEM I. Produced in our factories in La Malle (13) and Le Havre (76), this cement is 100 % French and contains 66% recycled materials (dairy).
• A voluntary compensation certificate neutralizing the residual emission of cement. The CO² saving certificates are certified by an international organization.
• A packaging which disintegrates in the concrete mixer on contact with the aggregates (Mixopack technology), generating zero waste and facilitating handling for less laboriousness at work. This last concern is reinforced by the choice of a single packaging of 25 kgs to avoid the heavy load carrying on the sites.

With the 360Score A + rating, the highest rating scale for the environmental performance of LafargeHolcim products, the PLANET bag will be available throughout France.

Contribute to sustainable construction, in France and abroad

To offset the residual CO² emissions of the cement contained in the PLANET bag, LafargeHolcim selects eco-projects which promote CO²-saving construction methods and which facilitate access to decent and affordable housing for local populations in developing countries.

Through these innovations in sustainable construction, LafargeHolcim and its customers are helping to preserve natural resources while improving habitat. The carbon credits resulting from these selected eco-projects are certified by quality labels that meet demanding environmental and social criteria.
