With a surface area of more than 53 m² - including more than 000 m² of buildings subject to a public service delegation hosting training workshop, museum and event spaces, the opening of the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie Paris -Rungis is scheduled for 12.
“We are proud to have won this ambitious project, co-constructed with an entire ecosystem of operators and investors who are leaders in their field. The Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie as we conceive it will position itself as a meeting place, unifying, deeply human, and a showcase of the know-how of professionals in the French gastronomy sector. Through its pavilions honoring the chefs and craftsmen of our regions, its campus offering workshops led by professionals from each sector, and its numerous events highlighting the talents of the sector, the Cité will establish itself as a new center of gastronomic excellence. It will allow the transmission of know-how between today's professionals and new generations, and the promotion of their talents to the general public.” says Alexis Moreau, CEO of Pitch Immo.
An experiential city that invents the gastronomy of tomorrow
A new complex within a lively 7-hectare district, the Cité de la Gastronomie Paris-Rungis designed by Pitch Immo and its partners will open its doors in 2027 near the Rungis Market of National Interest (MIN). A stone's throw from Orly airport and soon accessible from Paris thanks to the extension of metro line 14, this cultural, creative and friendly place will be the ideal place to embody the Gastronomy of today and tomorrow. in all its aspects: the product cycle, from its cultivation to its tasting, including the design of a menu and the transmission of know-how.
Open and accessible to all, the City imagined by Pitch Immo and its partners will revolve around 5 strong programmatic spaces, organized around a central square (the Forum) and linked together by a system of footbridges:

The Heart of the City: a cultural factory
The Heart of the City (6 m²) will allow visitors to discover the professions of gastronomy in its entirety, thanks to immersive exhibitions with innovative and attractive concepts. This space will integrate a strong experiential dimension that will allow the visitor to immerse themselves in the daily life and the universe of the artisans of gastronomy: kitchen brigade, pastry laboratory... with the help of innovative devices appealing to the five senses of visitors. .
The Campus de la Cité: a craft factory
The Campus de la Cité (6 m²), a center for training in food trades, will pass on the passion for these trades, pillars of French culinary culture, to the general public and to future professionals. The Campus will also emphasize professionalization, in particular by training candidates for various gastronomic competitions or for obtaining prestigious titles (MOF, MAF, etc.).
The Gastronomy Pavilions: a factory of know-how
The Pavillons de la Cité (8 m²) will echo the know-how of the women and men of the gastronomic sector, and will also allow the discovery of the agricultural and culinary production of the French regions. Each region will have its own pavilion, on the model of universal exhibitions. The Pavillons des Filières, for their part, will honor the big houses and the inter-professions.
The Lab de la Cité: a factory of innovation
The Lab de la Cité (10 m²), a modern tertiary centre, will bring together industry players to build the food industry of tomorrow. The Lab will adapt to all the trades of the sectors present on the site, by offering them modular workspaces and in accordance with their needs: offices, meeting rooms, coworking spaces... It will also be a showcase of techniques logistics with a 500 m² site.
The Hub de la Cité: an event and residential offer at the service of the talent factory
The Hub de la Cité (22 m²), a place of life, sharing and conviviality, will be intended for professionals and business tourists (meetings, congresses, conventions and leisure trips) in order to make the Cité a dynamic multi-faceted district as well as a resource centre, a benchmark for the sector. It will host major events of local, regional, national and international scope, within fully modular spaces. It will notably include a conference centre, a 000-star hotel, a hotel residence and a 4-room student residence, for students in training within the Cité, but also in the local student pool.
An agricultural concept in an urban environment
Endowed with a bold and remarkable architecture, designed by the architects MG-AU MICHEL GUTHMANN & associates, MARC MIMRAM Architecture Ingénierie and ARCHIKUBIK, the Cité embodies the ambition of the project for the urban center in which it is located. Resolutely modern, it is warm in its curves and synonymous with freedom in its plan. Open to the outside world and connected to its environment by an ingenious set of gateways, it evokes sharing and promotes flows. The landscaping elements complete this innovative structure by investing the roofs and the alleys, thus creating a green setting.
The Cité will host a large park designed as an agricultural landscape comprising micro-places of use and large cultivated spaces, which will allow users to stroll through different spaces with unique dynamics and plant atmospheres. Home to a variety of flora and fauna, the park will be essential for the preservation of local biodiversity. A third of the existing right-of-way will be revegetated in the ground, ie more than 12 m².
A responsible and sustainable city
The project aims to be exemplary in terms of energy. The program meets the requirements of RE 2020, thresholds 2025. The reuse of materials will be favored and the project includes mixed wood/concrete construction methods for a limited carbon impact. Edges will be installed in a logic of depolluting the soil thanks to phyto-purifying plants.
All of these elements combined will contribute to making the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie a demonstrator of a post-carbon city.
The environmental issues of the project have been grouped into four complementary themes:
- Bioclimatic design and energy performance
- Resource conservation
- Comfort, health and well-being
- Biodiversity and nature in the city
Responding to these challenges will enable the Cité to aim for HQE and BREEAM Excellent level certifications, as well as the BiodiverCity, Biosourcé and BBCA labels.
