Expected in the fall of 2024, this new training will meet the regulatory obligations for the maintenance of heat pumps and the expectations of companies and craftsmen in the sector: it will combine quality of content, diversity of teaching methods, very attractive financial support and national coverage. .
Heat pumps: a market still developing, subject to a maintenance obligation
Correctly sized and installed in a building benefiting from suitable insulation, the heat pump is a relevant solution to meet the challenges of energy independence and sobriety, decarbonization and purchasing power.
This type of equipment is thus expected to continue its development, under the effect, in particular:
- The announcement, in September 2023, of a desire to revitalize the sector, aiming to triple the number of heat pumps produced in France by the end of the five-year term, while training 30.000 installers;
- A dynamic market, driven by the replacement of boilers, the development of air/water heat pumps and the individual home segment.
To ensure the expected performance is achieved over the entire lifespan of the equipment, regular maintenance must be carried out. Heat pumps from 4 to 70 KW are thus subject to a periodic maintenance obligation (decree no. 2020-912 of July 28, 2020 relating to the inspection and maintenance of boilers, heating systems and air conditioning systems ).
The professionals concerned, heating engineers, electricians, refrigeration engineers, installers and/or maintenance professionals, etc., must have the ad hoc skills, adapted to their profiles, acquired and updated through quality initial and/or continuing training.
In this context, FEEBAT, contacted by the sector for this need for training, launched the design of new national training dedicated to the maintenance of heat pumps.
A group with complementary expertise selected for the design
On the proposal of ADEME, CAPEB and the FFB represented by its professional union, the Group selected to design this training brings together several key players in training and energy equipment, some of whom are well established in the Building and Heat pumps :
- Qualit'EnR, association for the installation quality of renewable energy systems;
- Costic, Scientific and Technical Committee for Climate Industries;
- La Solive, training center for energy renovation;
- Octeo, specialist in immersive learning.
Beyond the complementarity and expertise of these actors, the active learning approach proposed, alternating time for theoretical contributions, interactive workshops, quizzes, concrete case studies on a practical bench, etc., as well as the innovation envisaged in the teaching methods, caught the attention of the FEEBAT jury.
Towards unprecedented PAC Maintenance training with FEEBAT: quality & relevance of content, deployment, national coverage & incentive support
The upkeep and maintenance of heat pumps involves the diagnosis of the installation, technical actions, as well as recommendations to ensure the maintenance and optimization of performance over time. All these steps will be covered by the future FEEBAT training, complementary to Qualit'Enr's QualiPAC training, which is more focused on installation. It will be based, among other things, on existing or future resources on the subject, including those of AFPAC and the CEE PROFEEL program.
Short training of 3 days maximum, this new FEEBAT training will concern the most common heat pump technologies, in line with market expectations and uses. It will also be distinguished by the “FEEBAT trademark”:
- Training deployed in mainland France with the same content, by training organizations and trainers selected by FEEBAT, and with training management;
- Quality content and innovative teaching methods, and training in compliance with Qualiopi requirements;
- In partnership with Constructys and FAFCEA, financial incentive support for training through the FEEBAT program.
Join us from October 2024 to discover the new FEEBAT training, dedicated to the maintenance of heat pumps.
