Green roofs to respect the environmental approach and the PLU
Designed by ArchiFrance, Paris-Asia Business Center is a fine example of integration into the landscape, notably thanks to its green roofs. To carry out the waterproofing and greening work on the flat roofs of the 22 buildings that make up the complex, the general contractor Alves Ribeiro Construction called on the Soprema Entreprises agency in Paris Béton.
To meet the requirements of the PLU, the flat roofs are provided with a temporary storage and drainage system for rainwater of the Retentio® type (composed of 2 drainage layers and a honeycomb honeycomb structure) with a thickness of 50 or 60 mm. The temporary retention of rainwater on the roof will allow here to obtain a maximum leakage rate of discharges into the sewerage network of 10 liters / minute / hectare. "The main difficulty was to calculate the dimensioning of the rainwater descent system in order to limit its size for better integration into facades, as the architect wanted," says Boris Fürst.
Around the storm water outlets, sterile areas have been set up. The watertightness of these was protected by 5 cm thick gravel.
In addition, still to meet the environmental approach and the requirements of the PLU, the 42 m000 of flat roofs are subject to a two-layer waterproofing with an almost systematic vegetal treatment of Sopranature® Tundra type to promote the harmonious relationship of the building with its surrounding green environment. In a few months, the roof will take on the appearance of a low plant carpet, dominated by sedum and moss, ranging from tender green to dark green.
To insulate, the flat roofs have previously received an insulating support made of 120 mm Efigreen® Duo polyurethane foam.
“We opted for an implementation of the planted area by blowing rather than by crane in order to adapt to the constraints of the site which is difficult for trucks to access due to the large number of companies working simultaneously. At the height of their activity, 42 people from the Paris Béton agency are hard at work on this site to respect the ambitious installation and delivery schedules ”, says Boris Fürst, principal driver at the Soprema Entreprises agency in Paris-Béton.
Finally, it should be noted that the Paris Béton teams installed 392 lighting and natural ventilation skylights as well as 392 smoke extraction on all the buildings.
