PAP launches with DossierFacile a service that automatically applies in place of tenants

The owners receive complete applications, can consult the files online and contact the tenants whose file meets their expectations to offer them accommodation.

A particularly tense context

Finding a rental is often an obstacle course for tenants. According to a recent study conducted by PAP, 45,4% of tenants complain about the lack of response from landlords and 36,6% that everything is already rented.

To find accommodation in a tense area, tenants must be extremely responsive and know the expectations of landlords. The less seasoned expose themselves not only to weeks of fruitless searches, but also to scams.

For their part, with an average of 83 contacts on a studio ad, owners are overwhelmed and often do not have the information necessary to make their selection. Some applications are dropped simply because they do not contain the necessary information.

The situation is likely to be even more critical this year, as the slowdown in the real estate market and the difficulties in accessing credit have an impact on rentals. Many first-time buyers can no longer buy, so they remain tenants and do not vacate their accommodation. The rental market is therefore faced with a lack of rotation, which has led to a drop in supply of 17% compared to last year.

The Locathèque automates the connection

To address these difficulties, PAP has signed a partnership with DossierFacile, the state's digital rental file service. This partnership enables the launch of a new service, the Locathèque, which meets the expectations of owners and tenants at every stage.

The tenant is accompanied in the creation of his rental file

First step: help tenants compile their rental file. This is the service provided by DossierFacile, which provides everyone with the list of documents that concern them. Student, employee, retiree, with physical guarantors or Visale, tenants can submit the documents that correspond to their situation.

This service guarantees fairness between tenants by allowing them to build the best possible file. The DossierFacile teams support tenants who need it to successfully make their file complete and compliant with the law.

PAP has integrated DossierFacile on its platform, which allows tenants to create their rental file directly on PAP.fr and benefit from the same support. If the tenant has created his file on DossierFacile, he can also import it into PAP.

When a file is complete, DossierFacile checks the documents and ensures their consistency in less than 24 hours. The tenant thus obtains a dossier labeled DossierFacile, which is easy to share with owners via a link. A watermark is affixed to the rooms, which protects renters against identity theft.

The Locathèque automatically sends applications to owners

Once his file is completed, the tenant is eligible to register with the Locathèque de PAP. He specifies his search criteria (exact location, surface area, budget, number of rooms, empty or furnished, etc.). The Locathèque is responsible for checking the consistency of its budget with its file, then writing an application message that meets the expectations of the owners.

Once his application has been optimized, the tenant has nothing more to do! The Locathèque applies automatically as soon as a new ad corresponding to the tenant's criteria is posted on PAP.fr. The tenant is guaranteed not to miss any ad and the Locathèque guarantees maximum responsiveness, since the application is transmitted within 10 minutes of the publication of an ad.

The service is totally transparent and secure: all the owners who place an ad on PAP.fr are checked, the tenant is notified as soon as his file is transmitted, he can therefore follow what the Locathèque does for him, modify his criteria and sure interrupt the transmission of his file as soon as he wishes.

Landlords call back tenants whose file suits them

Landlords, for their part, receive applications from tenants registered with the Locathèque as soon as their announcement is published.

They can consult the documents in the file online and thus very easily select the applications that suit them.

They then just have to send a message or call the tenants to arrange a visit.

This service therefore allows a much more efficient and secure rental process, for both tenants and owners.

Free for tenants – Included with listing for landlords

PAP and DossierFacile do not charge tenants anything: the creation of the file, support and registration with the Locathèque are free. For owners, the publication of an ad on PAP includes access to applications from the Locathèque and is offered at €15 for one week.

An exclusive service resulting from a public-private partnership

Created in 2018 at the request of the Minister of Territorial Cohesion, DossierFacile has supported 250.000 tenants until their file has been validated. To maximize the use of the service, DossierFacile offers companies to integrate its service in several ways, via a connection link, DossierFacile Connect or a complete integration via API.

PAP is the first major platform to integrate DossierFacile into its journey. The development of the Locathèque was made possible thanks to this partnership and now offers tenants and owners a new, more efficient and completely secure route for rental.
