For this 39th edition of European Heritage Days, the focus is on sustainable heritage. A topic that is more topical than ever and means a lot to Oxand, the European leader in predictive maintenance, which has long been committed to the long-term preservation of the buildings and works of art that make up France's heritage.
Since 2015, Oxand has been involved in a sponsorship program with the Château de Fontainebleau, one of the most symbolic French monuments.
"It is a heritage of more than 800 years, classified by Unesco and which belongs to all French people and to all lovers of heritage throughout the world", explains Marie-Christine Labourdette, President of the Château de Fontainebleau.“It is of the same scale as the Palace of Versailles, with a castle of 40.000 square meters, 1.800 windows and 1.600 rooms and a park of 130 hectares. »
Preserve the buildings to ensure the sustainability of the castle
A magnificent piece of French heritage, which Oxand has been fully involved in preserving for nearly 10 years.
“We have a branch in Avon, a few kilometers from Fontainebleau. This proximity to the castle, as well as our mission, naturally led us to forge a partnership with the aim of preserving the buildings from aging and ensuring the sustainability of the whole”, explains Vianney Airaud, president of Oxand. “It is very important for Oxand to contribute to the protection of national wealth and this sponsorship allows us to respond to these major challenges thanks to our consulting expertise in wealth strategy and our intelligent solution for sustainable and efficient asset management, Oxand Simeo. »
As part of this sponsorship, Oxand has thus carried out several missions in order to define a multi-year real estate strategy plan, aimed at better managing the budgets linked to the investments necessary for the preservation of the different parts of the castle. The use of Simeo, the predictive maintenance software for buildings developed by Oxand, has thus made it possible to set up work on the enclosed and covered spaces, as well as on the technical installations of the castle. A valuable aid considering the architectural scale and the complexity of construction of the monument.
Preparing for the energy transition of the Château de Fontainebleau
Acclaimed by both entities, this partnership between Oxand and the Château de Fontainebleau is set to continue for years to come.
“We value our relationship and it is obvious that it will continue”, says Vianney Airaud. “Oxand is very committed to supporting the Château de Fontainebleau in preserving its heritage. It is a mission of general interest for the entire Oxand team, whose mission is to transmit a more sustainable world to future generations. »
The actions put in place to preserve the buildings that make up the Château de Fontainebleau will therefore continue.
“We have defined different areas to optimize building maintenance and improve the energy performance of this heritage. There are still many prospects, particularly on the energy transition, to preserve this cultural symbol., concludes Vianney Airaud.
