The combination of the triple “4/5/10” thermal resistance of the insulation helps to build homes with a low carbon footprint, as well as passive houses that use very little energy.

A response to the requirements on the life cycle of the building from its construction to its destruction

An eco-designed product that is 100% and infinitely recyclable, ISOVER glass wool is made in France from mineral materials between 40% and 80% recycled glass (cullet). Each stage of its life cycle is optimized to have the lowest possible impact on the environment. The following are taken into consideration: energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, waste generation, integration of used glass wool in the recycling process to make reinjected cullet then in the production process. ISOVER products and systems benefit from FDES, allowing an easy calculation of carbon impacts via a dynamic LCA of the building, a novelty requested within the framework of RE 2020.

Regarding wood fiber insulation, Isonat manufactures its materials from softwood from the forest region of the Loire plains, within a maximum radius of 60 km around its factory in Mably (42).

A response to thermal comfort requirements in both summer and winter, without losing living space

The RE 2020 aims to improve the living comfort of the occupants. The “4/5/10” system recommended by ISOVER actively contributes to strengthening the thermal and sound insulation of the building envelope.
