A historic convention
800 guests participated in the first European convention of the OKNOPLAST group in Zakopane, in the heart of the Polish mountains. More than 13 countries represented and nearly 200 participants for the French delegation. A convention which offered a masterful show to its guests retracing the history of the group and its objectives for the future. Speeches by Adam Placek, Founder of the OKNOPLAST group, and his son Mikołaj Placek, CEO of the OKNOPLAST group, came to enrich this evening highlighting the group's opening towards digital.
Five major themes on the group's wishes for the coming years were also highlighted:
- Technological advances : with 5G internet or WIFI 6, voice control, blockchain, augmented reality…
- The Super Client: increasingly informed customers who have mobile devices and the power of the internet, placing them in the rank of experts who will need to know how to listen in order to meet their ever more specific needs and expectations.
- Big Data: the continuous collection of information on customers aims to find solutions that will meet their preferences, requirements and needs.
- Ecology: a criterion which has become essential for the future and safeguarding the environment will be at the heart of the group's concerns with the implementation of a number of actions aimed at eliminating negative impacts on the environment by reducing emissions from CO2 in the atmosphere, by looking for alternative energy sources and by reducing our electrical consumption… From January 2020, the group will meet ISO 14001 certification.
- Changes : inevitable for any business, changes are the lot of each manufacturer and Oknoplast will be present and responsive.
The OKNOPLAST premium partners were also honored during the evening by winning three Trophies:
- Prize for the longest partnership awarded to the Avenir Verandas Company - Beaume Les Dames (25)
- Prize for the most beautiful showroom awarded to the Habitat'Eco Company - Didenheim (68)
- Prize for the largest volume of sales awarded to the Alliance Diffusion - Luneville (54)
An event which will undoubtedly have attracted the greatest number.
Oknoplast to conquer the world
Specialist in the production of PVC windows and doors, the OKNOPLAST group has grown strongly in recent years with a presence in 15 countries: Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Scandinavia, United States…

Employing over 1850 employees and with a production capacity that exceeds 2 million windows per year, OKNOPLAST has achieved spectacular success on the European market. In 2018, the OKNOPLAST group achieved a turnover of 171 million euros. 75% of the total revenue comes from sales on foreign markets through the group's 3 brands: OKNOPLAST, ALUHAUS and WnD.
“Year after year, we achieve our objectives, which motivates us to continue. In 2018, we served more than 1 customers across Europe and the upward trend continued this year, ”says Mikołaj Placek.
R&D at the heart of strategic thinking
Since its creation, OKNOPLAST has bet on innovation. Thanks to a permanent investment in R&D, several innovative technical solutions have been implemented. Thus, the company has developed the 5-chamber profile. Followed the 3mm glazing used in PVC windows and the creation of a thermal barrier - airgel constituting additional heat gain in the home.
In 2015, OKNOPLAST launched the Charme Mini range, a window with 22% more glazing than standard windows.
In 2018, the SmartWindow marks a turning point for the group with its connected smart window. This window not only lets light into the home easily, but also acts as a smart touch screen.
In 2018, make way for an exceptional design with the Lunar. This window dominated by glass is entirely covered with it over the entire opening. A unique aesthetic.
One thing is sure, OKNOPLAST will not stop there and intends to continue its conquest of the carpentry market and the deployment of its innovative solutions!
A new production site
In order to achieve its new objectives, the group has chosen to invest massively in the expansion of its production site - PVC & Aluminum - and to introduce ever more automation in its production process. The primary objective is to increase the company's production capacity, aiming for growth of 30%.
This new production and logistics complex will offer an additional area of 16 m². A modern logistics center for sorting and packaging finished products will also be created with this project.
One of Mikołaj Placek's strong wishes is to put environmental protection at the heart of tomorrow's reflections and solutions in the development of this new site. He also declares: "with these investments we will be ready to implement the most creative ideas with even more force, while guaranteeing the highest product precision".
Finally, these investments will also considerably improve the comfort of employees both in production and in the offices of the various departments of the group. The entire project is expected to be completed by the start of the second quarter of 2024.
Aluminum at the heart of the group's development
In 2014 OKNOPLAST launched its range of aluminum doors and windows under the brand ALUHAUS. Manufacturing processes guaranteeing superior quality products, with an exceptional aesthetic but also with a high level of safety and energy saving. The group wishes to invest heavily in the aluminum market in France and position itself as a real challenger. With its full range of doors and windows, ALUHAUS is able to provide product solutions in line with consumer expectations and requirements. In terms of the sales force, numerous sales assistance tools - suitcases, angles, catalogs, etc. - are made available to the teams. New Aluminum training sessions are also offered to the Group's internal teams and to ALUHAUS resellers. Finally, a brand new website with a configurator for entry doors is also planned for the beginning of October 2019. This guarantees great prospects for the coming years.
