This integration removes the barriers between the different teams of a construction project by allowing the exchange of data between the Novade and BIM 360 platforms of the Autodesk Construction Cloud suite.
“This integration between Novade and Autodesk marks the beginning of a long series of relationships between Novade and various technology players. Our goal is to offer a truly connected ecosystem for the construction sector”. Explains Denis Branthonne, CEO of Novade. “Tech companies need to move with the times – our customers want their data to move seamlessly between their systems and applications. The more we can help the construction industry eliminate data friction, the faster the industry will achieve its digital transformation.”
Novade digitizes all construction processes in the field such as safety inspections, welcome sheets, quality monitoring or site logs.
Autodesk BIM 360® is adopted by many construction stakeholders around the world and facilitates collaboration between project teams, from design and construction to site operation and maintenance.
Both tools have been widely adopted by leading construction and service companies as well as property developers across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
By connecting the Autodesk and Novade platforms, users can now share data collected on site with Novade, directly with users on BIM 360. Similarly, Novade users in the field can now work with the latest versions of plans from BIM 360 and thus avoid problems related to the use of the wrong versions.
“Construction projects move quickly, teams on site and in the office need to stay in sync to ensure everyone is working on up-to-date data” says James Cook, Integrations Manager at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “By allowing clients to exchange all project data and documents between the BIM 360 project management platform and the Novade field application, office and site teams can strengthen collaboration and minimize communication errors and re-entry” .
Tiong Seng, one of Singapore's leading construction companies, is an early adopter of Novade's Autodesk integration.
Colin Tan, Managing Director of Tiong Seng Contractors Pte Ltd, says: “Being able to share information between our existing software is essential to reduce the constraints of our industry. My teams now have full visibility into projects as well as progress, whether onsite or offsite, with access to real-time quality and safety monitoring.”
To enable construction companies to easily optimize the colossal amount of data they collect and manage, technology companies are looking for ways to synchronize, share and make their data accessible.
To solve this problem, Novade recently launched Novade Connect, a set of software integrations allowing a “plug and play” connection with digital leaders.
