NIII Pro and NIII Core, the new generation of XPS solutions by Ursa

Two complementary product ranges for clearly defined applications, enhanced thermal performance, and simplified logistics.

These new ranges of extruded polystyrene, XPS, respectively dedicated to roof terrace applications (excluding parking) and to slabs, screeds and other applications outside roof terraces, display enhanced thermal performance.

They are also part of a simplified product architecture and streamlined logistics, meeting the reliability and agility needs of traders and building professionals in a tense and uncertain market context.

XPS: a high-performance and durable insulation solution

In terms of insulation, XPS offers numerous advantages:

• Ease of implementation: lightweight, rigid and easy to cut, it allows for quick and efficient installation on site;
• Excellent thermal performance;
• Moisture resistance: rot-proof and almost waterproof, it retains its insulating properties even in humid environments or in direct contact with the ground;
• Stability over time: insensitive to freeze/thaw cycles and climatic variations, it ensures long-lasting performance without degradation.

XPS is therefore a benchmark material for insulation in general and within URSA's product range in particular. URSA has sought to develop this range further to better meet the needs of building material suppliers and professionals.

Modernizing for better performance: URSA's new generation XPS

The historic URSA XPS "N III" range is now being reorganized into two new complementary ranges: NIII PRO and NIII CORE. Designed to simplify choices for professionals, enhance thermal performance, and modernize the product architecture, this evolution reflects a focus on improved clarity and efficiency.

Two clearly defined uses:

• NIII PRO is dedicated to rooftop applications (excluding parking), meeting in particular the requirements for fire classification;
• NIII CORE is a versatile solution for paving, screeds and other applications outside of roof terraces.

Enhanced thermal performance

• Thicknesses < 140 mm: the λ increases from 0,034/0,036 to 0,032 W/(m·K)
• Thicknesses ≥ 140 mm: the λ increases from 0,036 to 0,035 W/(mK)

A simpler offering and smoother logistics: this reorganization is accompanied by work to rationalize product ranges in order to guarantee better product availability, optimized production and a clearer range structure.

This development is just the first step for URSA: starting next year, the NW range will also benefit from this evolution, with a harmonized name and improved thermal performance, giving rise to the NW CORE…
