Nexity launches into solar energy

Called Nexity Solaire, this entity “will draw on the group’s experience in sustainable development and its low-carbon expertise,” the company promises in a press release.

“The installations deployed by Nexity Solaire could take the form of photovoltaic farms, roof panels or shade structures to produce green energy, thus generating additional income or enabling self-consumption,” says the group.

This new offer is aimed at “communities wishing to identify areas favorable to the deployment of renewable energies” as well as “private and public owners wishing to promote their non-buildable land, their roof surfaces and their parking lots”.

Nexity, like all real estate players, is suffering from the halt in new construction, caught between costs which have risen significantly and buyers' purchasing power eroded by inflation and, above all, access. rarefied in credits.

The group, which is increasing its forays outside of real estate development, its historic core business, has announced in recent months that it is launching into life insurance or the "revalorization" of commercial sites in partnership with Carrefour, in addition to develop managed residences (seniors or students).

Another large developer, Altarea, also announced a few months ago that it was launching into photovoltaic installations, as part of an even broader diversification strategy.
