New Urbanit Jouplast range: a constructive solution dedicated to the development of permeable spaces in urban areas

Increased risks of flooding and pollution of natural environments are part of the damage due to the massive waterproofing of soils in urban areas. The consequences of the latter in the water cycle feature prominently in the list of negative effects on the environment.

The control, or even the de-waterproofing of soils, therefore becomes a key issue to reduce the vulnerability of urban spaces to the effects of current and future climate changes. It promotes the water cycle by reducing runoff, and helps reduce the phenomenon of heat islands.

To meet these challenges, JOUPLAST^® completes its range of slabs for mineral or plant coverings, URBANGRAVEL^® and GREENPLAC^®, by launching its new URBANIT range on the market^®, a relevant and sustainable solution that ensures the permeability of soils in urban areas.

Composed of 3 100% recycled polyolefin plates made in France, the URBANIT range^® JOUPLAST^® is suitable for paving stones, gravel or plants (grass or sedum). Compatible with each other, the plates fit together thanks to an integrated hooking system, thus allowing the possibility of creating multi-material urban spaces: 100% paving stones, a mix of paving stones + gravel or paving stones + plants.

The stabilizing plate for URBANIT® JOUPLAST® paving stones ensures both perfect support for the paving stones and remarkable resistance to compression, allowing the passage of light vehicles. Made from 100% recycled polyolefin, it allows you to permanently install a stable and permeable surface.

Quick and easy to install, the URBANIT paving plate^® JOUPLAST^® has an integrated assembly system for excellent retention of the plates together.

Intended to accommodate paving stones measuring 15 x 15 x 6 cm, it supports up to 1.000 tonnes per m², and allows creative layout using pavers of different colors.

Ideal for creating parking lots and access roads for light vehicles, pedestrian paths, cycle paths, etc., the URBANIT JOUPLAST paving stone plate also makes it possible to demarcate parking areas: PRM locations, electric vehicles, without forgetting traffic areas.

Perfect for designing quality urban developments and creating a gravel surface of constant thickness, the URBANIT gravel stabilizing plate^® JOUPLAST^® promotes natural and optimal drainage of rainwater. Made from 100% recycled polyolefin, it allows the implementation of a draining and driveable covering that does not generate puddles, runoff or ruts.

Made up of specific cells to be filled with crushed gravel with a particle size between 5 and 16 mm, the URBANIT gravel plate^® JOUPLAST^® resists frequent passage by light vehicles.

Quick to install and easy to cut with a grinder, it has a hooking system on the sides, ensuring excellent retention of the plates between them.

The URBANIT gravel plate^® JOUPLAST^® is intended for car parks (carpooling area, station car parks, airports, commercial areas, etc.), access lanes for light vehicles, fire brigade access lanes and pedestrian paths.
