From now on, thanks to the use of washers of different heights which compensate for the differences in thickness of the glazing, installation is facilitated. The bardeur or the facade maker can indeed install all the glazing at the same level, including when their compositions are different. So far, to get a smooth facade, and meet safety requirements, they had to adapt the installation of the secondary structure according to the different glass compositions required. This step made the implementation longer and more difficult.
These new provisions complete the previous Technical Opinion of 2019 which opened up the use of the solution to timber frame constructions, in coastal areas (anti-corrosion) and in seismic areas with the laminated option.
A solution that embellishes the facade
The LITE-POINT® system can be used to clad ventilated facades or to make traditional facades or interior walls. It can be installed on all types of residential or tertiary buildings, both in new construction and in renovation. It is made up of an external skin in enameled glass, held by through fasteners to horizontal aluminum rails. These rails are then themselves fixed to the primary framework. The LITE-POINT® system is well suited to buildings with Exterior Thermal Insulation (ETI) since it protects and protects insulating materials. It is a complete system, which is easy to install. It is delivered ready to install, with the glazing, fixings and horizontal framework.
A real aesthetic asset for architects, it allows for fully glazed facades. The exterior appearance of the building can thus be homogeneous or contrasted. LITEPOINT® adapts to all desired renderings thanks to a wide choice of colors, levels of reflection, patterns or printing. It is possible to chChoose from the EMALIT EVOLUTION (monochrome opaque glazing), SERALITEVOLUTION (silkscreened opaque glazing, up to 4 colors) and PICTURE it (opaque glazing with digital enamel printing) ranges. This customization allows the architect to give free rein to his creativity, by imagining a facade that stands out or that blends in with its environment.
