This key event is a new stage in the industrial investment plan defined until 2025, strengthening the position of the Reynaers group as a dynamic major player committed for several years to a strong and assertive development policy.
An investment of 6 million euros to meet growing demand
This new building brings the infrastructures of the Reynaers Group to 15.000m² of logistics area in France. The investment had become essential to meet the growing demand experienced by the two brands Reynaers Aluminum and Forster on the French market. Close to the main highways that serve France and Belgium, this strategic site makes it possible to optimize the transport of goods between production sites and to strengthen the quality of services for specialists in aluminum and steel joinery.
Sustained growth in the activities of Reynaers Aluminum and Forster
Focus Reynaers Aluminum:
Reynaers Aluminum recorded growth of 27% between the years 2016 and 2019. In 2021, the company's turnover increased by 24%, reflecting its ability to design and distribute technical solutions for the most demanding projects. varied in new as in renovation.
Significant Reynaers Aluminum project: Reynaers Aluminum's know-how was recently illustrated in the design and supply of tailor-made solutions for the “Jardins du Lou” project located in the heart of the Gerland district in Lyon. The six office buildings, designed by the architectural agency AIA Life Designers, represent 28.000m² of surface area and nearly 13m² of facades.
FocusForster:
Partnership, excellence and support are the key words that characterize the range of technical solutions and services offered by Forster. Specializing in the design and sale of steel joinery systems, Forster has resumed its direct sales in France since August 2020. The new logistics organization at the Brouchy site makes it possible to respond to the most varied projects with optimized delivery times. . Professionals in steel joinery thus benefit from a complete offer allowing them to produce all types of doors, windows and facades, without forgetting the depth of the offer of fireproof or burglar-proof solutions essential for projects requiring specific treatment. in building and occupant safety.
Iconic Forster project: the know-how of Forster's project teams made it possible to meet the regulatory and architectural requirements for the renovation of La Samaritaine. The 800 steel frames of the Unico XS and Fuego Light series manufactured and installed in the building have made it possible to recreate identically the aesthetics of the steel joinery of this modern art and art deco architecture of the 19th century.
A logistics investment to improve Service performance
This new site has made it possible to rethink and optimize logistics flows. Thus, the Brouchy site is refocusing its activity on the pre-equipment of profiles from the Reynaers Aluminum range, the storage and preparation of orders in powder-coated and anodized finishes. Most of the products offered in the offer are stocked in white and anthracite gray shades, allowing delivery anywhere in France within 8 days. In order to increase responsiveness, the raw profile storage activities will be centralized in 2022 in the group's powder coating and anodizing plants in Belgium.
A building designed to improve working conditions and reduce energy costs
Anxious to create a pleasant and safe working environment for employees, the building has new spaces to promote exchanges between administrative staff and production. To improve summer comfort and minimize temperature transfers to the interior all year round, the roof of the new logistics area is equipped with the CoolRoof system (Soprema) limiting the surface temperature to 42° during hot weather ( 72° for a traditional roof). Designed to receive photovoltaic panels in 2022, the installation will reduce electricity consumption by 14% and open part of the building to self-consumption. Particular attention has also been paid to the treatment of lighting with LEDs, which makes it possible to enhance well-being at work and reduce the electricity consumption of the entire building by 11%.
A daily commitment to meet environmental challenges
Sensitive to current and future environmental issues, this project is fully in line with the approach that the Reynaers group has been leading for several years to reduce its carbon impact.
Thanks to this new optimized supply chain, the Reynaers group significantly reduces the transport stages between the different units and strengthens its commitment to environmental protection. The new facilities have also made it possible to concentrate efforts on reducing waste and in particular on the implementation of new packaging methods for customer orders. Thanks to the use of recyclable films and specially designed stretchers to guarantee the quality of the products transported, cardboard consumption has been reduced by 50%, with a target of -70% over the next few years.
The Reynaers Group, an economic player in the Picardy region
The Brouchy site employs 93 people, including 53 permanent staff and 40 temporary workers, enabling it to adapt flexibly and efficiently to increasingly regular peaks in activity. By acquiring this 5.400m² extension, Reynaers Aluminum and Forster have good prospects, suggesting a strengthening of their economic activities at local and national level.
