New features in elec calc™ 2024: the optimized calculation note and an improved synoptic

For this first quarter of 2024, Trace Software has chosen to update its calculation notes for easier reading and to improve the synoptic for rapid design of your electrical projects.

The calculation note gets a makeover

This document allows all readers to easily find all the project input data, to understand its architecture but also to highlight the elements of non-compliance in the project. This report must list the summary of project information, such as lists of components or even protection adjustment books.

In this new calculation note format, it is possible to directly integrate a chapter with the synoptic of your installation:

The color code of this synoptic allows you to quickly identify objects presenting anomalies. In green, the component is compliant, in red, it has at least one anomaly. References are directly integrated into the synoptic; by clicking on the component marker, you will be directly redirected to the associated control sheet.

We now find two circuits per page on the control sheets with the detailed representation of the circuit on the side, and identical reading logic for each component. If a non-conformity is present on the component, in addition to the detail of the non-conformity, the value which generates the violation appears in bold.

Finally, additional information is available such as the maximum length protected on the terminal circuits. If this value is exceeded, the magnetic threshold of the upstream protection will be presented as an anomaly.

Optimization of the synoptic

Trace Software continued to invest in the synoptic to further enrich intelligent drawing functionalities and thus speed up design time. It is now possible to switch to a pre-constrained drawing mode to directly generate your foliage with ease from the schematic library.

The enriched manufacturers catalog

This year again, the catalog has been enriched with new references. Thanks to work carried out with electrical equipment manufacturers and direct requests from elec calc users, nearly 15.000 new references (circuit breakers, inverters, IRVE terminals, etc.) have been integrated into the multi-manufacturer catalog of the calculation and calculation solution. electrical sizing.
