New CSTB guide: Screeds and slabs

A practical and complete guide on screeds and slabs, in application of NF DTU 26.2 and 65.14

It shows the different installation methods and the dosage of screed or slab to be respected depending on the destination of the room and the floor covering that comes over it. The cohesion requirements of the screed are indeed different depending on the coating that will come over it. This guide specifies the formulations of the screeds and slabs according to the destinations of the premises and the expected stresses.

It specifies the required characteristics of the supports and the execution specifications of the screeds or slabs. It defines the minimum age of the support before laying the screed or slab as well as the authorized laying method: adherent, uncoupled or floating. This guide details and illustrates the phases of execution of the processes, the field of use being limited to indoor premises in new or under renovation.

Finally it details and illustrates the implementation of so-called traditional screeds and slabs according to the normative provisions and other types of processes such as fluid screeds falling under the Technical Application Document procedure (Technical Opinion associated with CE product marking) but also the quick screed, dry screed and light screed processes.
