By developing very large sliding fire doors for the New Stade Vélodrome (see focus), the Malerba family group is once again showing its ability to intervene on the largest French construction sites.
In addition to the doors developed specifically and presenting particularities, all the metal doors of the stadium are signed Malerba.
There are mainly 3 main types of doors:
- evacuation doors,
- access doors and emergency exit,
- access doors to technical rooms.
The most emblematic doors designed and implemented by Malerba are located in the new Jean Bouin stand, completely destroyed and then rebuilt during the renovation of the stadium. The parking area of this grandstand had a number of technical constraints. Indeed, in order to facilitate the access of coaches or deliveries, 1 hour fire doors had to be designed in very large dimensions to meet the expectations of the project owner.
Focus on the most emblematic doors of this site
- 10 large sliding doors, 3 of which have an hour-long fire break ranging from 1 m high to 4,10 m wide.
- 5 fireproof parking doors 1h offering a leaf on average between 2,10 m and 2,50 m high and 5,50 m wide.
- 4 fire-resistant parking doors 1h 2,10 m high and 5,50 m wide including a pedestrian evacuation gate.
Very large sliding doors 1h fire rated
1 1 hour long sliding fire door of large dimensions integrating 2 parallel leaves
Dimensions: 4,20 m high and 7 meters wide.
This door designed specifically for the needs of the site is therefore made up of two parts which telescoping in the event of closure. This technical specificity makes it possible to divide the need for discharge width by two while meeting the fire-stop degree necessary in order to be in full compliance with regulations.
2 Sliding fire doors 1h large dimensions 1 leaf
Dimensions: 4,50 m high and 10,5 meters wide.
This door was designed to allow bus access to the New Velodrome Stadium, via the basement. The technical constraints imposed a width of opening allowing two buses to cross each other while meeting the fire protection degree necessary in order to be in full compliance with regulations.
A second door identical to the dimensions of 4m high and 8m wide was also developed and implemented within the stadium.
What is the site notice ?
All the products have valid approvals in relation to performance (fire, thermal, acoustic), dimensions and types of implementation. On the basis of the Minutes obtained for the product initially developed, the Efectis laboratory checks the feasibility and transmits the modifications to be made to the product in order to ensure that the characteristics, specificities and implementation will be in conformity.
This site notice is therefore issued for a particular product and remains valid for a determined period for a specific site. On the site of the New Velodrome Stadium, the needs of the designers imposed particularities and Malerba obtained 4 site notices (3 fire site notices and 1 Actuated Safety Device site notice) in order to meet the requested requirements.
