Naofloor, the first removable and reusable solid oak parquet floor, receives a quadruple A in the Ecoscale assessment

The DESCHAUMES group, a family business since 1894, the leading French manufacturer of solid parquet flooring with the Origine France Garantie, PEFC 100% and 100% Bois de France labels, wished to submit its innovation to this analysis set up by the CSTB and based on a multi-criteria approach.

Result: Naofloor obtains the quadruple A, i.e. the maximum score on each of the criteria: recycled or renewable material, disassembly, reusability and finally recyclability.

NAOFLOOR, the first solid oak parquet flooring that can be dismantled, reused and reused, and with a neutral carbon footprint

Capturing and storing 3 times more CO2, this first interlocking parquet flooring in solid oak from French forests thus fully exploits the environmental qualities of the forest.

Thanks to the patented assembly system (Blockmoove®), Naofloor is installed on an underlay, without glue or chemicals, while ensuring perfect stability and reducing installation time and costs. This floating installation is carried out in compliance with the current technical requirements of the NF DTU 51.11 “floating parquet” standard.

Dismountable, reusable and re-usable, the parquet floor will finally have several centuries of life while storing CO2.

ECOSCALE, a tool for assessing the circularity of building materials

Limiting greenhouse gas emissions and reducing resource consumption to help combat global warming are now crucial issues for all construction industry players. It is with this in mind that the CSTB Ecoscale assessment was designed: it allows building products and equipment to be estimated and classified according to 4 criteria, covering their entire life cycle.

Based on the scientific and technical expertise of the CSTB, Ecoscale allows manufacturers who wish to do so to promote their environmental approach, while offering prescribers and design stakeholders a reliable information tool, to support an informed choice.

Exceptional parquet flooring, exceptional grade

A rating ranging from A (best) to E (lowest) is awarded for each of the criteria judged. Naofloor has been certified Ecoscale AAAA under No. DES122022V1-0003.

• Recycled and renewable material: grade A

Assessment of the quantity of recycled and renewable materials in the product: by being composed exclusively of French solid wood, certified PEFC 100% and 100% Bois de France, Naofloor obtains the best score.

• Disassembly: grade A

Ability of a product to be disassembled without damage in order to facilitate its reuse or recycling: thanks to its patented Blockmoove® assembly system, Naofloor can be disassembled very easily to be reassembled, it receives the highest rating: A

• Reemployability: grade A

Ability of a product to be used again at the end of a first life for a use identical to that for which it was designed: Naofloor's vocation is reuse, it is designed to be assembled and disassembled without tools, therefore it has a longer lifespan than a traditional solid parquet flooring installed with glued or nailed installation. It is the only parquet flooring whose lifespan is not limited to the life of a building in which it is installed. This Naoflloor indicator achieves the best score: A

Ability of a product to integrate a recycling channel at the end of its life in order to be effectively recycled: Naofloor is a solid parquet floor and therefore made of 100% wood. It benefits from an A+ health label and a CE marking allowing it to be placed on the market and recycled.
