More than 100 economic leaders call to “lead differently”

The signatories, which also include the co-founder of the sustainable clothing brand Loom Julia Faure, the director of the Bel group Cécile Béliot-Zind and the boss of the Adecco group, believe that companies have a great "capacity to act" in the face of to the current climate of “distrust” and “anger”.

“Millions of French people spend a majority of their time at work. Necessarily, our way of leading, our managerial practices and the working conditions we offer, our commercial practices and our investment choices have an influence on everyone ", they write.

“Today we can choose to better respond to the legitimate demand for recognition, dignity, accountability and justice from our employees and our stakeholders, and thus contribute to the stability we need,” they add. .

At the initiative of the Impact France Movement, which brings together entrepreneurs from the social and solidarity economy, business leaders are putting forward several avenues in order to "lead differently", ahead of work which will be launched during the Summer universities on the economy of tomorrow which will be held on August 28 at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris.

Among these, they mention a better sharing of the wealth produced by companies, the promotion of democracy in business, the transformation of the company into "a real place of inclusion and diversity" or even the fact of making products respectful of the environment and human rights "affordable and competitive".

“Already the efforts of leaders to rise to the occasion of successive crises and major ecological transformations are numerous. But everything indicates that we can and must do better. Yes, it is possible to lead differently,” they insist.
